Service was (sort of) OK. I had to wait 30 min to get my camper walk around and still, I received it with only 2/3 of petrol tank and 2 (of of 3) almost empty gas tanks. They also provided me with gas stove hose with broken gasket and this almost caused a fire as gas was leaking into air during cooking.
Camper van (Action Pod 2 Beth) was a big DISAPPOINTMENT. I used other caper vans in the past, and all of them had a very well planned storage area and cozy interior. Those campers were designed to be real "homes on wheels". Action Pod is just like a delivery van with "facilities box" installed inside. It looks like when season is over, they remove this box and use it as regular delivery van. Camper van was badly organized: no storage space - even though there was a plenty of available space, no, no curtains (just some sort of shades attached with magnet which were sticky and wouldn't stay on), battery too small to keep fridge running for even a day, fridge under the bed (where your head is) making a lot of noise (especially when battery was low). On top of this, Camper layout diagram on web page shows bed being as wide as entire interior (there is a disclaimer saying "layout may vary" but they offer zero explanations on what varies) while actual bed (double) is narrower and there is 20cm of unused space on each side. This is just wasteful.
That was definitively my last time with "Action Pod". :(

β β β β β Everything about our experience went to plan and exceeded our expectations. We were met by friendly staff at Britz Queenstown who took the time to ensure we were familiar with the vans features. The camper was getting towards the older end of the fleet but everything worked on it and it was perfectly clean when we picked it up. The return process was just as painless as the pickup, after a quick inspection we were on our way back to the airport.

β β β β β Awesome Trip in NZ with a campervan from Britz. Definitely campervan is the way to go for New Zealand as opposed to traditional travel/accommodation. We had no issues with the vehicle and everything was in order. Phone support was amazing for all the small questions we had. Definitely recommend and will do again. Next stop USA!

β β β β β Overall the experience was certainly not what we would have liked. We found out the camper had been rented for 2 months before us. This ment that some of the draw faces weren't properly attached to there runners, resulting in 2 draws flying open most times when turning right. One time the whole face of the draw came off and through all the cutlery all over my wife and 1 year old daughter. At that point we decided to drive it straight back and give up. We came back a day early but got no refund on our overnight rate. Only insurance. Disappointing experience.

β β β β β travelled around 3000 k's starting in Queenstown, up the west coast to abel tasman then back down the east coast stopping at so many places along the way! A fantastic way to see the south island, so many incredible places I have seen and its all thanks to the service that is provided by the whole team. All the staff where really friendly as was the booking agent on the phone. Really appreciate all the hard work that goes into supplying great vehicles for holidays like mine, great job team and I am already planning the next trip.

β β β β β After a nightmare start with 2 cancelled flights and being 2 days late i finally got on the road. Rebecca was so helpful throughout, staying in touch with me until i made it there and then even whilst i was on the road. what cracking customer service. hired a 3 berth for myself and golfing gear, perfect size! will be back in the Spring.

β β β β β Thankyou all for the wonderful experience. We took a six berth and a 3 berth and found that they complemented each other perfectly for 6 adults.
The pick up and drop off service was fantastic, with some of the best customer service I have experienced anywhere in the country.

β β β β β Very helpful and friendly. Campervan was super clean and we had a fantastic trip. Only wish NZ would make the freedom camping rules more straightforward as every town has their own rules and it was a bit stressful every night trying to figure out where we could and couldn't be. No point renting a self-contained vehicle if you're just going to be staying in a holiday park and no fun sleeping in a parking lot!
