★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best for young children. The zoo is rather small but nice place to spend some time and the zoo also has a good kids playground and a seated swing for children that may need more support.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to visit. Plenty of interesting animals and birds. Great playground for children. Short walk from Pukekura Park. It's a credit to New Plymouth, and it's free. Very impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the capybara!! So cute to see them swim around ? The animals look like they are well looked after! The otters were juggling rocks in the sun ? adorable! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend visiting. Was lovely getting a fruit ice-cream from the little food cart ?❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With Monkeys, parrots and reptiles there's plenty to see at Brooklands Zoo. Plus a big playground in the centre for the kids. Just check to make sure they are not closed as nearby concerts means they close a few days prior.

Only really 30 mins entertainment for thd family. Take a picnic
