β β β β β The rental was easy enough - the return was a bit different. I would suggest getting the insurance and checking the rental thoroughly. We picked up the car at 8:30 p.m. and checked the car for normal dings, etc. However, when we returned it - we were charged for scratches at the very bottom of the under carriage - to the tune of of $1,700.00 US.
Never experienced that before - will never rent from then again and when I tried to get customer service - no response for several days.

β β β β β Complete scam artists! We involved in a minor traffic accident where we were hit from behind by a car that was in turn hit from behind. The police were called and issued a report that verified we had no fault. When I returned the car they assured me there would be no problem once verified. Less than 7 days later my credit card has a charge $3537. A bill was never sent or emailed, just a credit card charge. Very dishonest and highly unethical.

β β β β β Had visited them today first time and will going to be the last time for me as we'd such bad experience today never felt like ever since I've landed in New Zealand. The lady had such bad attitude and no sense at all to talk to the customer. Will not recommend anyone to go there.

β β β β β The absolute worst customer service i have ever encountered. When renting the truck online i was given an estimate price, this then increased upon picking up the vehicle, no clear reason why, and on return of the vehicle, they had charged me even further without my knowledge, the only way i found out was by finding a random charge on my bank statement and having received no communication of further charges I called the branch, no answer after 4-5 calls, they finally sent me my final invoice after me calling to get this and saw from this i should of only been charged $80 dollars extra for fuel, which is ridiculous in itself as the tank was only half full and a full tank only cost me 70 to fill to full. But they had charged me much more then this, when ringing the customer service line thy said they can't do anything until 48 hours has passed and that i had to keep calling them back to get this sorted, they told me the invoice might yet still change, with giving me no reason why a final invoice would be changed and refusing to put me on to a manager. I am now left out of pocket and have been told I need to wait 7-10 to even get any of the money i'm owed back. Terrible customer service, Zero communication, lots of hidden fees!. Would never use again.

β β β β β Very unhappy with experience from Budget and will not be using again. Hire a car for the weekend. Pick-up went ok but the lady serving us was new and needed help from another person. We asked for extra insurance and they kept talking about their codes which made no sense to us. Nothing explained in full and we left feeling confused. No contract emailed through for us to check, which she said would come through straight away. Returned the car on Sunday at 2pm. Nobody there, even though hours on door say open until 4pm. We eventually worked out where to leave the keys. Checked credit card and been overcharged. Trying to get sorted and virtually impossible. Will be making dispute with credit card company.
EDIT - Thanks for your reply, however I have tried twice to email that email address and it comes back saying undelierable.

β β β β β Avis and Budget office are under same roof. This location mostly provides van, trucks needed for commercial or business purpose. All the vehicles are mostly new and in very good condition. Friendly staff and good service too

When you ask why this happen they will treat you like an idiot. When I showing them again again its effpos money out, not pending they will just ignore and keep saying this will refund in next few hours. btw the staff named Asad Ali.
The over charged still not refund even when return the truck 4 days later.
The branch manager Rohit Kapoor is extremely rude as well, wont listen, wont see the bank statement, ONLY keep saying " talk to your bank if you think we are over charge".
what a unbelieve story... I will process both CGA and commerce commission. I think this company and staff need a good education knowing how to do business in NZ.
