Fewer people, fewer lines. Tried this as I’m craving steamed bbq pork buns. Bun is small, filling was less than average and not the standard bbq pork. There are fillers. Fast service but food is not fresh. It seemed to be microwaved and served on microwavable containers even on dine-in. There’s also only plastic disposable cutlery. Serving is good, heaps of rice but not even good nor quality ingredients. Food may not be true to what the menu says. Ordered pork ribs but got (old) beef ribs. Spacious place though tables and chairs seem dirty, they’re not well wiped and still sticky. A little cheaper than the restaurants beside. But for the quality and cleanliness, I’d rather go to the more expensive ones beside them. Ended up not finishing the meal because they got cold very fast on a summer day and the taste was not so nice if it’s cold.

We come here for Chinese style breakfast at 8am this morning. We really like certain menu items - soy milk, Dan bing with you tiao, all the buns (though the filling is not that generous), dou hua (tofu jelly) with gravy, chive and egg pancake (but this doesn't always taste fresh). However, this place has a lot of negatives. The dining area and furniture is sticky and unclean, tissues on tables and plates / bowls for sharing are not provided (just end up eating over the sauce dish), tea is not provided (or on the menu as far as we could see) and water dispenser is often empty. Maybe I'm asking too much, but other restaurants around this one would consider providing the amenities above as standard. Many of the breakfast dishes are also not particularly fresh tasting (you tiao is not freshly fried and many pancakes seem to be microwaved). Can anyone recommend a better place for Chinese breakfast food??

Cheap but not necessarily cheerful. Ordered char siu baos (bbq pork buns) and fried noodles takeaway. Positives were that service was reasonably quick and server was friendly. Negatives were that food was not good. Baos ($2.25 each) did not taste like char siu and had plenty of vegetable filler (corn, peas and carrot). The soggy noodles ($13) tasted like Maggi seasoning. There was also a $1 surcharge on the $21 order that was unexplained. Recommend looking elsewhere if you want decent food.

Spacious eating area, friendly owner, clean environment. Very affordable for the value of the food. 24dollars for a couple and couldn't finish. Highly recommended for casual lunches!

Excellent quality and decent price. Always a good meal at Bun Hut. The pancake with cripsies is a must try!
