★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a weekend break in Whanganui and ended up going to this cafe twice. I found the coffee okay but the food was unbelievably good. There is almost too much selection but I ended up having the corned beef sandwich both visits. Best cafe I have ever been to - even allowing for the so-so coffee. Prices were reasonable too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited like 4 times 3 of which I have ordered eggs Benedict and every single time it’s had egg shells in it. Every time I complained the staff would look at me and laugh. The other time I got a steak and cheese pie and a sandwich for mate, the pie was literally rock solid and the bread was stale, and the coffee, well no point even bringing up the coffee will not be going back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just witnessed a very nasty witch (customer) verbally abuse some military veterans (also customers who were minding their own business) about how “they are all dogs and should be exterminated at end of their service”. Cafe staff did nothing about it. When the veterans went to let the cafe management know about this witch, the veterans were told to leave and that they were no longer welcome in the cafe WTAF! They had done nothing wrong, just sat there quietly and let the witch have her rant…..The cafe clearly have no respect for the Armed Services of this country ? revolting!

Had the most delicious French Toast here with Bacon and Caramelized Banana while my Partner had the Berry option.
The staff where friendly and the order was super quick. The meal and Drinks where scrumptious. Prices where decent for the quality. The atmosphere felt crowded and a little claustrophobic. The outside space is much nicer. But would go here again for Breakfast!
