★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was very busy. Was told there would be a wait which we were ok about, but didn’t expect to have to wait 50 mins for a Corn Stack to be heated. When we enquired after 45 mins the lady was very rude

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is decent cafe with GREAT WiFi ! All most all other cafes in this town only give you 50MB free. So cheap! But cafe 39 is good to sit and hang out. It has a large seating area and also an outdoor space (see photos - March 2018). Light background music. Cheerful waitstaff. The pies are just “OK”. The quiche is “good”. We really enjoyed our time at this cafe, especially in the outdoor patio section! If you go, try it out - you get lots of natural light.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved our late lunch here and would recommend to others. We had 2 of the lunch specials (bacon and corn stack and toasted sandwich with fries) and they were a good size and great taste. Little things were good like the toasted sandwich was crunchy and the tomato really tasty and the coffee in a big mug. Also the lady who served us was lovely. Try it ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well what an experience :( If you like to wait 20 minutes for a cup of hot water & a coffee, then this is the place for you. (Apparently the milk comes from Persia when you ask for a small jug). Then to top it off, you wait another 35-40 minutes for a simple whitebait fritter with salad & chips & scrambled eggs & bacon. That's after asking when your order will be ready. If you've only got 1 chef in the kitchen, tell customers there will be a wait. Hint: order from the limited cabinet selection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice wee Cafe. Delicious gourmet pies and good coffee too. Everything is reasonably priced and there’s a great selection to choose from. The staff are very friendly and provide great customer service. I’d be very happy to come here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyable cafe. 4 adults and 3 kiddies. We all enjoyed our meals (whitebait and bacon were excellent) and the kids shared a waffles which they demolished. Coffees were all excellent and the owner was lovely and bought out some paper and felts for the kids to draw.
