Tried whitebait sandwich. You can choose white or wholegrain beard, it would be good if they can toast the bread. Venison pie tasted ok.
Usual choice of beverages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Cafe! I really enjoyed my steak and blue cheese pie and mochaccino. They handled the influx of people ( around 50 people ) from the local Student Volunteer Army camp very well. Next time I'm in Hokitika I will return to this lovely cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ these are all of food we ordered. we waited 40 minutes while the Cafe is not busy. we have asked the staffs twice about the time to serve the food. finally， the lady said this is Cafe， not food serving Place， customers have to spend lots of time to wait for the food.this is awful answer for us. They are not respect people. Strong not recommend to this Cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 of us went for breakfast 2 ordered egg's benedict with salmon and a side of mushrooms they arrived without the salmon, the mushrooms were extra but came sparingly, the egg yolks were hard the 3rd meal had egg shell in it. Not worth $20 plus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent $30 for a breakfast and coffee. Mushrooms tasted like they were frozen and microwaved, bit soggy and eh. Same with the sausage, soggy and not fresh at all. Sunny side up eggs had hard yoke, basic white bread from the dairy with hardly any butter. Bacon not crispy. Hash browns were fine.
Definitely not worth the money, could definitely whip up a much nicer breakfast at home. Would be fine if it was half the price, but should really be better for the amount I paid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without doubt, the best coffee I had on the West Coast and super friendly staff. The Clocktower Cafe opens early for your caffeine fix if you are off out to take photos, catch a fish or set off on an adventure. I can also highly recommend the poached eggs on toast as a tasty way to set you up for the day!
