★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered two cakes recently for my 21st, both the cakes & service were perfect! Got the Flourless Chocolate Raspberry & the Classic Lemon. Both cakes we’re so delicious & looked absolutely beautiful. Especially loved how fresh & flavoursome they were. They were throughly enjoyed by everyone & I couldn’t recommend Anna's cakes more!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Utterly embarassing cake. $100 for a completely plain sponge dashed with gritty buttercream with barely a hint of flavour. Some of the flowers that were lazily slapped all over the had lost their colour discoloured to dark brown and looked downright nasty. There are so many better cake makers in Christchurch without the extreme hubris Instagram fashion trends seem to go hand in hand with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the Gin, Lemon, Lime and Coconut cake... AMAZING and looks very good also. It was a surprise cake for my wife and she loved it. Anna was very easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anna makes the most incredibly delicious cakes, both in presentation and in taste. Whenever I have a special occasion Cakes by Anna is my go to. My personal favourite is the vegan carrot and ginger, however I’ve never tried a flavour I didn’t love and I’ve never been disappointed. Always a pleasure. Thanks for making such beautiful cakes Anna!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got the lavender and early grey cake for my mother's 60th birthday. The buttercream was way too grainy and the sponge really dense...it was a real shame to hear all the guests comment on that. Whole there was a hint of lavender, there was definitely no discernible early grey flavour.
The cake was pretty, but that was about it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and would have been better getting mum a small cake from Sweet Soul Patisserie down the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently ordered Anna’s carrot & ginger cake for my friends baby shower and it was absolutely delicious - photos on the website and Instagram don’t give it justice. So beautifully made and presented. It was the dish of the party. I’ve been a CBA fan since the early days at the market and am pleased to see the business grow and evolve each season. Lucky for fans we can now pick up a wee slice from Anna’s brother’s cafe midweek - heaven!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anna made the most beautiful cake for our wedding! I love the lavender and earl grey flavour and it was gorgeous with pressed pink and purple flowers, as well as being SO delicious! Anna also made us a gluten free and vegan Flourless chocolate and berry cake, and our guests raved about this cake too. Anna was so easy to work with and delivered the cake to our venue too. Would highly recommend! Thank you Anna!
