β β β β β Booked table for 2 today. simply cannot fault anything. we had Trust the Chef but asked for goat cheese to be included. More than enough food although we wasted nothing. The dishes were absolutely perfect. I had decided not to ever return after experiencing previous ownership but so glad I went today and will certainly be recommending and returning myself.

β β β β β Me and a friend went to The Monday Room on High Street last night. We don't eat much whenever we go out.
On departure, I said to a staff member "beautiful food, however I did not enjoy the homemade lemonade.
The staff members reply "It would have tasted nicer if you ordered a 3 course meal".
I replied, "We don't eat much".
His reply "She'll need more calories than the carrot she ate".
I was gobsmacked.
I asked another staff member who he was, and he said he was the owner.
In my opinion, please give your money to an establishment where the staff, especially the owner, appreciates your custom, your money, and you as a person.
The food was fantastic, the customer service, I wish they were on Trip Advisor

β β β β β AMAZING. I can't rave about this place enough. Best food I have ever had in Christchurch - trust the chef is great, highly recommend. Great service, industrial moody atmosphere, and simply the best food. Beautifully balanced, great flavors and lovely to look at. Highly recommend as the money is well worth the experience.

β β β β β Amazing food! The trust the chef is an absolute MUST. Everything was delectable and mouth watering. I have seen people comment on the portion sizes and while they are small (think fine dining), the meals are extremely rich and very high quality and filling. Also you get a lot of little dishes and the main course is very generous; we got four dishes for our entree and six for our main.

β β β β β Went to The Monday Room tonight for my brother in law's birthday. First time for me and my husband. Was Trust the Chef menu... Absolutely beautiful food.. I tried everything and even though I am not a huge red meat eater, I tried the raw beef...sorry can't remember the name... was okay but not really my thing so wouldn't eat again. Also had superb service. Thoroughly recommend. Compliments to the chefs.

β β β β β Wow. Just... wow. The food was utterly exquisite, and the service just as good. The cocktails were also devine.
I'm a complete fuss pot, but decided to branch out of my comfort zone and try the 'trust the chef'.
The chef is highly trustworthy - so much so that I overheard a couple trying to decide what they wanted and told them to trust the chef. They loved it so much I got called a legend when they thanked me for the recommendation.
I trust the chef with my life now.

β β β β β I chose to dine here for the first time as I thrilled to read the menus and confidence about the restaurant, the head chef is a woman, so I expected something different from others. Yes, we had a very good time seated upstairs followed by a professional manner floor manager. His explanation of the menus are excellent with recommendations. And all meals we ordered came to us with perfect and delicate careful cooking, Never had like this with satisfaction in NZ for long time.
