β β β β β Great place for students. Wi-fi is a bit unstable at times, but otherwise a great place to live. Very convenient as well β to Parnell, Britomart, and University campuses.

β β β β β Hands down the best University of Auckland accomodation on offer for students. It is best value for money with its close proximity to both Grafton and City campuses, Queen Street and local supermarkets.
The facilities are clean, modern and the power and internet are included in the rent.

β β β β β Not sure if the staff and RAs are sufficiently institutionally encouraged to bring brain to work - hypocrisy and inefficiency is the theme of all activities Iβve been to.

β β β β β My family and I checked into Carlaw for 2 nights. Nestled within University of Auckland. Utilitarian with basic cooking utensils provided. Basic accommodation with springy beds. Not easy to move luggage into apartment as there were many doors with security tags needed to access. Parking is super expensive. Would have considered a 'proper' accommodation if I had known earlier.

β β β β β A friend lives there. Well designed student hostels. Quite modern and high end for prospective students. On the hindsight, they are quite some distance from the city centre and is hilly heading to the city(via the shortest route). Also quite expensive. About NZD 270 starting June 2018. Not worth it. Shared among 4 housemates.
