The Cash Converters Story
Cash Converters began as a single store in 1984, in Perth, Western Australia.
Brian Cumins and a group of partners founded the brand with a simple idea - professionally purchase second-hand goods from the public and display them in a modern, genuine retail outlet.
Fast forward to the present and that idea has grown into an international franchise system that is constantly innovating, while expanding its product offerings to include small loan lending, pawnbroking and a whole lot more.
Today there are more than 700 stores worldwide, operating in more than 16 countries including Australia, Belgium, France, Italy, Malaysia, Namibia, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and USA.
Cash Converters in New Zealand
Cash Converters began in New Zealand in 1993 and today operate 22 stores, employing more than 380 people. There are 11 corporate owned and operated stores in Auckland and Christchurch, and 11 franchise operated stores throughout the rest of the country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased a fitbit from them unable to charge wasnt connecting with the fitbit app at all lady I returned it to was confused tried to claim it was brand new because of the box it was in told her it wasnt proved her wrong with the crack the price also the dirt in the straps frm taking them off told her to talk to her head office about selling goods to people and ripping them off pretending they didnt no goods were faulty the price drop compared to the another in the display should of been enough unfortunatly not very disgusted .

Tried to call and find out where cord was or get refund for rest of VR bundle. Was told they can't do anything as was 1 day past 90day period. Bought when had the money to afford, and now is totally unusable.

The lady at the counter lowered her voice when she told me they would only give me $10 for it, as though she was trying to keep it hush hush. His ability to keep engaged in conversation while doing the loans is awesome. Usually most workers have you sit there in long awkward silences. Jack really puts in a stellar amount of effort and enthusiasm and most of all he really does care about people, he is one of the few people I’ve seen retain their human side while doing such an emotionally draining job. I thank you from the bottom of my heart Jack you’ve made my hardships bareable! Someone give this man a payrise
