They decided a month in advance that sea conditions would be unfavourable over 5-7th Jan & wouldn't operate, it was almost too hot & calm to walk the track those days

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When visiting the Coromandel peninsula, the Cathedral Cove is one scenic location you must visit. The only 2 ways to access Cathedral Cove is via walking track &/or the water taxi. It's a nice hike through a bit of NZ native bush, with a beautiful view of the ocean, & you'll probably be lucky enough to see some native birds too.
It took me less than an hour to reach the cove. You can take your bathers & a picnic (no shops on location) with you & spend the day there basking in the sun & swimming.
If you wish, you can choose to catch the water taxi back to Hãhei for a small fee $15 adults $10 child each way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fast way to go to the cathedral cove which only takes 10 minutes. The boat was small but very clean. The photo is of their tickets which was really cool and environmental friendly.
Remember to find the staff on the beach to buy tickets earlier during peak season and public holiday.

Need a better system to communicate with potential customers with a daily update.
The flag was up at the car park but no answer on the telephone number.
I’m sure when it is working it is a great service but we have tried three times and it’s never operating during our visits due to a variety of reasons
