β β β β β This Cattery deserves -5 stars.
We dropped off our 7 month-old kitten for a week stay. When we arrived to pick him up, the girl on duty was unable to answer any questions about how his stay was. When we arrived home we noticed that he was severely dehydrated and very hungry (we provided wet and dry food for him). He was also very unsteady on his feet. He was constipated for 1 day and then had diarrhea, so he had to have treatment. They should have some checklists on his stay e.g. toilet, drink, diet. This should be attached to the bill.
We do not recommend their services to anyone.

β β β β β Our cat has stayed here twice, the last time she was very sick (flu) when we picked her up. She was perfectly fine when dropped off and has never been sick at any time in her life apart from this. I was very surprised this could happen when she stayed in a private room. Allthough I have never actually seen the private room as for some reason we were not allowed to go and inspect it. Sorry, I won't bring our cat back (Max) next holiday, this was quite upsetting for the whole family.

β β β β β Our wee cat stayed here for three weeks while we travelled overseas. What really appealed to us was the private rooms that they had available and our cat had a large area all to herself with minimal foot traffic passing by (Ours is a shy cat that we got from the spca a few years back and she is not to keen on meeting to many new people)
The staff were really helpful with great communication throughout the stay and kept us up to date with how their little guest was doing. We dropped off and picked up at odd times due to our flight times and the team where really accomodating and flexible with this.
Upon our return it was such a relief to see a happy cat that had obviously been well looked after (one of the staff had made her a little hideaway area using blankets and a cat basket so that she could tuck herself away)
We will definitely use Catsablanca again for our future holidays and would have no problem recommending them.

β β β β β We booked our cats into a private room and asked to be able to take our cats in and settle them in. We were not allowed in to inspect the room or settle them in which was concerning. What was more concerning is that they both have up to date vaccinations and both came home with cat flu which seemed surprising considering we had paid for them to be separated from other cats. My cats have never had cat flu before and one of my cats has lost a huge amount of weight. This has cost hundreds of dollars in vet bills.
I would say that if you don't like your cat(s) that much, then this place is fine to put them. If however you love your wee fur bundles, look elsewhere.

β β β β β Dropped both our cats off for a four day stay and when we picked them up one had lost a lot of weight and was very unsteady on her feet.
Had to take here to the vet and she was severely dehydrated.
The vet tried his best to get the cat back to health but in the end we had to put the cat to sleep as her kidneys had be too damaged from the dehydration.
Their web site says they have 20 yearsβ experience in looking after cats and there is a 24 hour vet on call but they failed to pick-up that the cat was even unwell!!
Couldnβt recommend them for their service and wonβt be using them again.

β β β β β My precious cat Zarvi is 20 and has always been in the same cattery. I had to find another as my usual was full and found Catsalanca. The day before our holiday she become unwell and needed antibiotics for a few days. Catsablanca were truly amazing looking after Zarvi. They gave her the medication she needed and looked after her the way we pamper her at home. We also recieved emails and pictures which was wonderful.
I cant thank Catsblanca enough for being so caring and dedicated to looking after our cat.
I can highly recommend and will definitely be back !!!

β β β β β Our girl stayed with Catsablanca for approx 10 days at the start of the year while we were relocating to the south island. Communication from Joan throughout her stay was fantastic, and despite my cat not adjusting all too well at the beginning (which was expected) they did a fantastic job of accommodating to her needs. It was a delight to be sent pictures of her throughout her stay. Overall took a lot of stress off me in the midst of a very stressful move. Absolutely recommend and would be more than happy to have my cats stay here again if I ever move back to Auckland
