β β β β β I've used CDR half a dozen times for household electrical jobs. They're always on time, are tidy and the price is sensible. I'd definitely recommend them

β β β β β Was booked pre lockdown. Didn't even bother to tell me they weren't coming. Then responded as though I'm unreasonable to have expected to have been told the booking didn't stand when other tradespeople had been in touch post level 4 and turned up on time. No apology for a wasted day of leave. Will not use them again.

β β β β β We recently hired CDR Electrical to install three new power points for us - the majority of the wiring was already accessible in the required areas (installed by the electricians that wired our new house a year ago and allowed for this future proofing). We scheduled an appointment with an electrician at CDR Electrical to see the areas, discuss the work and provide a quote (9am that day). The quote seemed reasonable (approximately $200 incl GST was verbally estimated) and the electrician said he could do that work straight away but he needed to go and get some materials. He returned at 10am and completed the work before 11am (within an hour). The work was completed to a satisfactory level. We received the invoice last week and saw that 2 hours of labour was charged. We questioned the time charged, noting that he didn't do any physical works until 10am. Arguably we think he could charge half an hour for travel and preparation time but the half hour spent with us talking and providing a quote should not be. Disappointingly CDR Electrical consider this time chargeable (if we had not agreed to the work this time would never have been claimable). Value for money wise, we are very disappointed with CDR Electrical and will not be recommending them or using them again in the future.

β β β β β Very bad experience.our New range hood was installed by CDR Electrician and did not follow installation manual and hard wired it .Range hood was supposed to be plugged so Range hood did not turn on .I contacted them and they promised to fix the issue at no extra cost by putting plug back on Range hood which was cut of by them and uninstall so I could return range hood to supplier. t hey made an appointment to come, went to the property without fixing it and said we will not do it without charging again.
We had to Send other electrician to do small job. We spoke to several companies they all said CDR can't leave un finished job.We had horrible experience. We paid them to ruin range hood by cutting plug and then not completing the job.

β β β β β I do NOT recommend this company.
I was charged $80+30 service fee, with no actual work done by them. I've complained that they were charging me too much for so little work, but they insist that this is a call out fee. I'm also one suburb away from their office so that's too much for a call out fee and a check up visit that took less than 15mins.
If you end up getting this company for some unfortunate reason, make sure not let them come to your house without properly checking the work to be done, otherwise you'd be ripped off.

β β β β β I do not recommend this company for different reasons.
1) Fees for labour are not precisely calculated.
They charge $30 admin fees for each job (transport from one job to another) + $80 per hour of labour.
In our case, two visits (1st - 30min, they charged 60min / 2nd - about an hour and was charged 60 min) $30 x2 + $80 x2 = $220 .. but got invoiced $230
$10 extra for what?
2) Invoice lacks detailing. No breakdown is given to specify the fees for the materials they used for the jobs. I do like to see what am I paying for.
3) They did not claim ownership for the damage caused to attic hatch (photos attached) whilst inspecting roof space.
I reported incident, was dismissed and they said it was already broken. Customer services was quick to defend themselves and argue against me. They've suggested that I am confused and basically lying.
Not cool, as I had no trouble opening and closing hatch the day before inspection. After the electrician "Put it back to how it was, and got it to close after normally after 5 min of real struggle", it did not feel anything like it did the day before.
Email communications just seemed like a battle with no yield towards the customer. I got tired and annoyed.
I lost my trust to CDR Electrical after this.
In the end, they offered to have the same electrician come and repair it and offered no guarantee for the work. I declined, as I have already arranged another person to repair the damage. I will not be CDR Electrical again.
4) Not punctual for scheduled times. Not a biggie for me as on leave, but worth mentioning for people on tighter schedules.
I wish that your attitude towards your customers will improve and that you will be more honest and transparent with fees.
