★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owners here are truly lovely. They were very accommodating when I needed to stay an extra night without notice. The room was great with lots of space and everything you’d need like a fridge, microwave and lots of dishes and cutlery. Really quiet for sleeping and had black out blinds too. Highly recommend if you’re in Christchurch. Such excellent value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room we stayed in was clean which was good, the reason I am giving a lower rating is because the customer service we received staying here wasn't good.
First thing we were told was to sanitize and covid scan by the man (presumably the owner or manager) in reception. So first impression is being treated like a walking virus when we could've just checked in and then scanned.
He gave us a tour of our room when we said we don't need it, and the fact the room was very small it was completely unnecessary.
When we had extra rubbish we saw a sign on the wall of our room saying extra rubbish can go somewhere outside near the stairs by the laundry. We went to dispose of the rubbish but there was no bin so we asked the same man in reception who said he would take it but appeared annoyed to do so, and was touching the bag as if it was contaminated by covid or something when it was uber eats rubbish that didn't fit in the small bin supplied in the room.
And on the final day when we checked out we asked the guy reception to check our room before we left to make sure everything was fine and we wouldn't be charged for anything, he seemed annoyed to do this when isn't that your job?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice clean place to stay in Christchurch. Good value for money. Good location - close to public transport, eating places and other amenities. The owner is friendly and is always willing to help with any queries. We got a free upgrade of room which made things even better.
This motel met all our needs of a short stay in Christchurch.
