★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my go to roast meal shop. Good range of good food. It is one of the more expensive, but for the friendly atmosphere, I think it's worth it. And when you compare the price of greasy fast food burgers etc, then it's not that expensive at all. There is also good off-street parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love charcoal chicken from here. Haven’t had it for years so I was looking forward to having it tonight! What an awful disappointment! Chicken was dry, old and very strong. Meat next to the bone was discoloured, greyish and it looked like it could be at least day old and reheated. I could tell that it’s not freshly roasted. I had a couple of mouthfuls and threw the rest away. I thought the right thing would be to call the shop and let them know, rather than going publicly with this feedback. But the phone was answered by a super rude, argumentative staff member that was dismissing my feedback. So here we go, it is public now. Shame really, this place use to have the best chicken in town.

I do remember the Chicken Spot that was in White Swan, Mt. Roskill... hmmm, bit of a giveaway, about 40 years or so back, and wandered of the relationship, if any, to that....!!??

And "yes!", the food was still....
as tasty-as! ..
