★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outdated, misleading photos of interior and exterior of house. Has a smell of mildew as soon as you enter. A very uncomfortable bed. Only upside was shower was hot and had great pressure as long as no one else in building was using it because then would lose pressure and temperature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed our stay at Chimneys. Certainly an interesting property which does need some maintenance which the owner acknowledged is being slowly tackled.
The history & building has a lot of character and the owner have a great and of detail of the history, including the area. The cool temperature is due to the stone that was used in construction like walls etc.
Some beautiful parts & original features like wood. With heating it's warm in the room and comfortable bed.
Some basic repairs like to locks, maybe a heater for toilet, as it's separate from the bathroom which does have one. The front sign is faded also, does need a new one..
Nice old place.
Final great tip from owner, if driving, park facing the direction of traffic as one could be fined!

Our host was very accommodating and was happy to share the history of this old house and the surrounding district as well as information for dining and sightseeing in the area.
