My husband Paul also joined Chris & Aurora for the Catlins workshop. The accommodation was perfectly comfortable, stunning views and a fantastic hot fire and kitchen facilities for the evenings editing sessions. We both enjoyed the workshop immensely, learnt a lot about composition, camera settings and ND filters. Chris was incredibly patient and nothing was a problem for either him or Aurora. Great conversations & company, the weekend flew by. We can't thank Chris & Aurora enough for sharing their skills and passion for all things photography.

Chris is extremely patient with teaching myself new skills and tips for taking better photos, and encourages me to ‘have a go’ and if needed, Chris will provide suggestions ‘on how to get a better picture/shot’. I am really proud of the photos I took of the waterfalls in the Catlin’s. I enjoyed the variety of places we visited in the Catlin’s and how Chris knows the areas he takes us too, and knows the best spots if it is raining or sunny.
The trip to the Catlin’s was amazing, with beautiful waterfalls, bays, sunrises and of course great company. The beachfront accommodation was amazing, as we had an incredible view over the bay and the facilities were amazing, with a big lounge/dining area, where you could see the beautiful scenery around you”.

One thing they all had in common was that they take you to great places at the right time of the day. The other thing they had in common was they were there to get a free trip and add to their own portfolios.
When you travel with Chris, what you get is profoundly different. His clients are his primary interest. He is so thoughtful, so generous with his knowledge, constantly teaching, constantly pointing out a different perspective, a different focus, always intent on ensuring that everyone is getting great captures. The people I have met on his trips are already accomplished photographers - so pretty fussy. Nevertheless, no one goes home underwhelmed. For anyone seeking a truly unique experience AND to expand their skill set, Chris is a hard act to beat!

His eye for detail and ability to spot the perfect place for an amazing image is uncanny.
