Why? I had a Breville coffee machine that I bought from Harvey Norman, something broke on it and asked to see if the repair was covered under warranty. When Cotters 'inspected it' I was told the repair wasn't under warranty and would cost $160+ for the repair. When asking why, they said the part was $60 and labour was 1 hour - they quoted $100/hr for labour!!! What got worse and worse for this scam company, I took the machine away and would repair myself. They charged me $25 for inspection fee. Anyways, later I found the part online, $40NZD after shipping. I replaced the part in 10 - 15mins (first time I'd ever worked on this machine as well). This company is completely unprofessional and unethical in its approach and ensure you don't get taken advantage of. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have a new Award dishwasher repair by them, told them it doesn't complete the full cycle. Took the dishwasher away from us to have it tested at thier workshop. Heard nothing back for over 10days, rang them and was told they diagnose it don't complet her full cycle. Took them over 10days to discover what we have told them from day one. Told will do more resetting and will come back to us. Another 10days gone and rang again but said more instruction needed from Award with the resetting. Bought this unit for just under one month, waited for a week to have plumber install, used only one day and the rest of the time is seatting at Cotters Electrical. Poor in communication and never call back as promise. Never will use them again.
I still don't have a dishwasher!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took a blender in to be repaired and was very specific about the problem. It was simply fixed - a seal had dried in storage and needed to be soaked - I was called back within 2 hours. So far so good. When i got my appliance back I was told that a blade had been tightened. It hadn't. The blender bowl had been screwed down onto the seal so hard that I can no longer take it apart - as you need to do- to wash it. Further more I was told that the bowl is designed for this not to happen. I have therefore paid $30 to get my blender back in a war se condition than I provided it. B when I questioned the payment I was told this was justified as it took 30inured of a technician looking on line to find out how the blender worked - information that I had given.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service from Cotters, would highly recommend Chris. Our 2 Bosch ovens were both repaired very quickly and efficiently. One part did have to come from Germany but it arrived pretty much on schedule within the 10 working days they said. Also replaced an oven light for me which hadn't been working for years and was impossible to fix unless the oven was already being taken apart, so I am pretty pleased with that as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been waiting almost 2 months for hinges to be replaced in our faulty oven door as the light goes continuously. Was told 2 weeks then no contact for 5 weeks and had to chase them up. Had Harvey Norman try to get problem solved and they also got the run around. They just rang with 5 hours notice and cancelled the repair man today.
