★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crofton downs seems to not know how to sort their covid protocols here when compared to new world. A bit of a dog's breakfast.
Reasonable selection though often find fruit needs to be checked as often going off.
Service usually good .only had one time when I came across a Muppet on counter. Check Google reviews for more experiences by other people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I shop at this store on a regular basis.
Lately. I am finding this Countdown store is not as well stocked up as the other Countdown stores in the Hutt Valley.
Every day household cleaning products are in very low supply and it means I need to go to other Countdown stores in the area.
Other than that the store in Petone is a good store when thec shelves are filled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually the fruit was a better grade than when I visited the store. Otherwise variety if products and pricing good. Need to open more checkouts to avoid long wait in queue

Always looking for a bargain, always find one here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well I don't know if there are supply and demand issues with this supermarket when I went in to get stuff I was not impressed to see over half the groceries I wanted weren't there and a few empty shelves around. I Would liked to have given you more stars in my review because usually you are a very good supermarket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used a product purchased in Petone store that made my animals seriously ill. When I went to return the item to change for a different brand, Maureen at the counter was difficult to deal with, very unsympathetic, rude and chose to try argue with me rather than offer an exchange or refund. She insisted I will be back due to the animals not ‘liking’ alternative products and could not understand that the product had caused serious veterinary problems. It was not a matter of taste but a physical reaction as advised by my vet.
For a simple fix I had such a horrible experience.
Will never shop there again.
To make it worse she short changed me.
Shocked someone with this kind of service is allowed to work at the store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My preferred place to shop. Never had any problems. Friendly cashiers and deli counter staff. Appreciate that they have plastic recycling bin at the entrance.
