★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made an online order, woke up to an email saying it had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. Called customer support, card details didn't match the online account. Why couldn't they just send a confirmation email for the order to confirm the details instead of cancelling the order is beyond me. Now I'm out over 100 bucks for a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Countdown like any other I guess. It was always busy when we went in. Maybe that's a good thing. Some shelves were empty but I guess that's to be expected. One thing I must say. Hamilton Countdowns are more tidy and clean and I think here they take more pride in their stores. But that's just my opinion. It's a Countdown.

I do grocery at this place every week but felt so bad and humiliated when I dropped glass bottle on floor, broken and security guy there was watching the incident, so humble said ‘ just grab other one even I do apologise to him. He replied it’s ok. But the moment after there were four young ladies came there so rude and wanting me to do apologise to each of them as according to them security guy is not staff there and I should have apologised to staff and each one of them. Felt so bad, embarrassed in front of others.
I know countdown wouldn’t matter a customer but never gonna come back to this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with Inderjit singh. The behaviour that staff ladies showed on Saturday night was unacceptable. Despite of telling the security guy about broken bottle which was by mistake, the countdown staffs behaviour was so rude like someone has stolen something or done something seriously wrong. Really the staff needs to be trained that how to talk nicely to the customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been coming here for the last week, their shop actually feels inviting (Is that weird????). They layout of the place feels efficient lol ? Staff are engaging, from little chit chat to engaging with the disgruntled kid (Who just wanted the lollies, your welcome mate) ? Good work.
But not bad ma Gz not bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All items are very nicely displayed and that's the hook, unfortunately the isles are quite narrow and their prices are quite high. You must have a one card to save something and to be competitive with their opposition. The staff I encountered were friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good handy place to shop groceries. Always organized. Prefer it over both Papakura stores. Staff are helpful, however recently they have been run out of lot of basics and shelves were empty on regular basis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to work at New World and was taught about customer service and the importance of attending to customers and giving them the best experience... making them feel like they are the only one there. In Countdown Takanini, i do not see this.... staff are not attentive to customers and they said we make them do double work, I feel they should have more understanding towards the customer on their side. Not impressed
