★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, handy carpark in Cuba Street opposite Kaffee Eis, close to Army Surplus. It's ad claims that it is cheaper to park there for the day than on the street and this could be true. Parking rates start from $3, earlybird is $18.
It is located less than half a block north of the Ghuznee Street-end of Cuba Mall (where many of the eateries eg. Sal's, Top Kitchen, Hotel Bristol, are based). Look for the old, distinctive buildings at / near the intersection here which will act as landmarks if you're new to the area (cf. my pics).

Sometimes, there are aspiring artists busking on the side walks. It's due to its quirkiness that makes Cuba Street the most popular tourist destination in Wellington. As you stroll along the street, you will come across the Bucket Fountain. Can't miss it.
