Ugly ain't fancy
Why Best Ugly? Well, if you were punched, rolled, boiled and fired, you wouldn’t look so great either. Don’t worry, our Montreal-style bagels are deliberately manhandled – hand rolled and cut, then simmered in sweet honey water. We then shove them into our custom-made stone oven which runs on New Zealand’s greatest natural fuel – Manuka hard wood.
It’s the rough and ready treatment that gives them their unique style and flavour. You know what they say. You always hurt the ones you love. And now we offer a gluten free bagel, and have worked up a new chocolate bagel, so no matter your taste, we have you covered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's pretty hard to find good bagels in New Zealand so I was pretty happy to have stumbled across this place last night. It was closed but as soon as I got up this morning I went it. Loved the atmosphere and positive vibes from the staff. The bagel I had was simple but delicious (definitely amongst the best this country has to offer). My only criticism would be to have more varieties on offer, but I can't justify a lower score for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for a quick bite! The bagels are made in-house, right in front of you. There is only one variety of bagel (everything?) And it's good! There are lots of filling options! I got the White Rabbit which was delicious - cream cheese, tomato, basil, and a very nice lemon olive oil. It was fast and filling!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a coffee and bite to eat there last sunday it was a very disjointed shop the furniture was seating also a little disjointed not very comfortable space was a premium
There a little cramped and seating not so comfortable. It had a style though i didnt get it.
Coffee was ok and snack just ok .
Ended up sitting outside which was definitely the better option
I may go back there by myself but not with friends
Its definitely quirky and has its own style

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible, fresh bagels with a wide variety of topping options. Very cool atmosphere with approachable staff and good music. Well priced, especially when combined with their Tuesday special (a free coffee with the purchase of a bagel). The King Salmon is not to be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a Boss Hog and could have easily gone back for a second...Soo good! But for the price I couldn't justify seconds. The coffee however was too good not to have a second cup. Beautiful long black and their flat whites were great too...not too milky, which is pretty common. The seating is limited but on a sunny day it's a great place to sit and enjoy a low key brekky and a quality cup of coffee.
