★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time I have ever posted but the quality of our meal warrants this. My wife got salmon and I got a 400g steak with a chimichurri sauce. Both were exceptional. The presentation was top class and the quality and flavour outstanding. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely lunch today, (Boxing Day 2021). Three of us dined on cheesy garlic bread, calamari, fish and chips, chicken schnitzel, and shared a dish of ice cream, coffee and Baileys liqueur. Served by a charming waitress from Argentina who will soon be a NZ resident. Great food and great service, thank you for such an enjoyable experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely fantastic food and service. I had the ribeye and he had the Tomahawk. They nailed the temperatures, chimichuri was herby and paired perfectly. Drinks were lovely, along with the decadent hot chocolate. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and wines. Definitely try this place, but MAKE A RESERVATION.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can count on one hand how many restaurants have actually cooked my steak the way it was ordered (medium rare), but I can confirm that this place is one of them.
Delicious food, cool location and there is a giant telescope from the late 1800’s on display just a few metres from the dining area. Fantastic

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most amazing meals, service was out of this world. Valentines menu was exceptional. Can't wait to go back looking forward to experiencing the different food on the menu. The staff are friendly and make it personalized. Fabian has amazing team of staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food and staff are great, but I’m sure other reviews mention that. I think this place needs a special mention for being family-friendly. Their small kids menu has tasty options. They have a small table with a lot of toys for impatient small kids. There’s a large grassy area just outside the cafe’s windows and the playground is within site for older children. Also, the view is spectacular for adults. It’s a great place to spend a lunch on a road trip or have a dinner and drinks with a view, all while the tamariki play nearby.
Oh, and I recommend the empanadas. The staff is mostly South American and this starter is especially great.
