★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to take our Daughter out on her 3rd Birthday just as places do not really have a large kids menu. Heard manukau Denny’s was not the best but highland parks was better. Absolutely disappointed on meal where we even told the manager that the steak was bland, chips soaked up all the steak juices and became soggy, the fettecuine was just disgusting. And the best thing on the menu was the curly fries which came out cold. Horrible experience especially on our daughters 3rd birthday. Not even an apology from the manager. Waste of money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bit of a wait but the food was as expected from Denny's. I've always enjoyed their ultimate omelette, not a fan of the sauce on eggs benedict or the salmon meal but that's just me. Curly fries were awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here today for sister’s birthday as no other restaurants are open until 1pm (Anzac Day). We were really excited for our food, but after waiting over an hour that changed. First of all, only 3 meals came (table of 7) and they had enough time to eat more than half of their COLD meal before the others came, not to mention no cutlery was provided to us until we went and asked the manager for it. The pancakes were dry, and hash browns were not cooked and had to be sent back. The staff didn’t seem to care that we were unhappy so that was really poor. It sucks because we come here every year for her birthday breakfast but are going somewhere else from now on. If I could give zero stars I would but thats not an option. Oh also the lady on the table next to us was also not provided with cutlery until she went up and asked. The group on another table ended up walking out because they had waited so long to order. Honestly worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They some how misplaced our order and we waited, after a while the manager or the lady was in the front counter informed us about the problem, they gave some complimentary garlic which was nice and the girl that took our order was upset and apologetic, thanks to the manager, you have trained your staff well, so friendly and how they approach us! Me and my family were happy especially me that I didn't have to cook.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't been to Denny's in years, but the kids really wanted some dessert after dinner. Came at 8pm on a Friday, waited 7 mins to be acknowledged and seated. The restaurant was fairly busy, so I was dreading the long wait for my dessert. Luckily it came 10 mins after ordering. The welcoming service is lacking

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We only had dessert but it was very nice. Clean. Well set up regarding covid. Good sized portions. Its a family restaurant so ideal for families. If you want a quiet intimate dinner its not your place. The lime vodka milkshake was on point ?

Customers service was terrible, they had all the excuses in the world and we only asked for a jug of water 3 times?♀️ streak was dry as hell my curly fries were hard?♀️ my family and I spent almost $200 there and their food was horrible! You deserve 1 star cause the raspberry drink was the only nice thing I had?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a terrible experience at the Manukau branch it was refreshing to have a pleasant meal at the Highland Park restaurant. The staff were lovely and the food came out quickly but freshly cooked. Food quality isn’t great but not terrible either. A good meal when you just crave breakfast in the afternoon.
