About Designer Tanks Ltd
Chloe lives in the beautiful Waikato town of Cambridge. She comes from an IT background and has been a Project Manager for the better part of 15 years in both large enterprises and smaller owner operated businesses.
When she isn’t working, you will find her running the trails, training for triathlons or doing Yin Yoga. By her own admission, she is not a “natural athlete” and has to work very hard to achieve her goals, including her first ultra-marathon at Tarawera 2019.
People often ask her why she loves trail running so much and her response is always the hard work, discipline and consistency required to achieve the distances makes her so much stronger in every area of her life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very impressed with the staff, they were friendly and helpful. We bought a large pot to collect water off our pergola. Our friends and visitors often ask how we got such a large pot on the property. The material it is made from is very light but it has a realistic concrete look. It is tastefully designed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Contacted the team for a rainwater diversion kit for my tank, and they were so helpful, even dropped in the kit while visiting Auckland. I was really happy to go back to order another kit when installing a tank for a friend, could not ask for friendlier or easier service. Love finding people who are a pleasure to deal with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With climate change and water restrictions a certainty, harvesting rainwater just makes sense. Even though we don’t pay water charges here in Christchurch, at present, that may well change in future.
Trouble is, some tanks look plain ugly and or are too large. The range from Designer Tanks is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. We opted for the 4200-litre rain barrel version, which blends in well with our house.
Delivery from the North Island was fast and efficient.
The hardest part was levelling the grand —we laid pavers. The instructions really are a bit too minimalist and a more detailed booklet would be helpful. The drill bit popped out while drilling through the downpipes — it’s quite heavy gauge metal — and needed extra oomph, as did attaching the screws.
It started raining soon after we installed it and worked well but will take quite a bit more to fill. A hint: clear out your gutter!
Overall, an excellent product and I recommend it to architects, designers, builders, and homeowners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tanks with that bit extra over a plain old water tank. Ours looks like a large red pot, making it a feature piece. Company easy to deal with, was able to go to their warehouse and have a look at the range in person, pick out what we liked the look of, then we took it home with us. Have had our tank almost a year now and still looks like new. I highly recommend this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service and prompt responses to my queries regarding the installation of my tank.
I did make the mistake of using the hole cutter supplied with the tank to cut the hole for the tap which was a BIG mistake! Ingrid said that normally the installation details are emailed when the tank is dispatched, and these recommend using a smaller hole cutter, but this didn't happen in my case as things were being handled differently during the lockdown, but would be done in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently purchased the Natura2in1 350l, worked my way through the instructions and got it all set up days before the Cyclone struck. Very pleased to fill the tank very quickly and it all worked beautifully. Ingrid was fantastic to deal with, really responsive and the tank looks right at home sitting in our raised garden bed. My indoor plants are loving the fresh rainwater and the cats too. Deciding on my next tank for the back of the house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent range of tanks, and they’ve put together great kits. Mine was easy to install and is working great. The tank stands make it a lot easier to fill buckets etc. Highly recommended.
Many uses for rain water, given the lack of hardness/salt. It's less likely to leave spots when washing car. If filtered - its the next best thing to deionized water. Also very low nitrate water for aquarium water changes. The tap can be adjusted to produce a nice wide spray for oxygenating the water as it goes into the bucket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love my new Designer Tank! Detailed specifications, descriptions and accurate photo's shown on the website enabled me to make the right decision on which tank was best for my space without having to visit the showroom. The video was also very handy to show how it worked and how easy it would be to install (and it was easy!).
