★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a few items a couple weeks ago, they've taken my money and so far haven't replied to any of my emails, upon reading the reviews it would appear that many of the unhappy ones are correct, they take your cash don't send goods don't reply to emails and are probably crooks.... Who runs a business like this? I will call them tomorrow and no doubt their phone will go unanswered as a few have said in their reviews, I wish I had of read these reviews before purchasing anything. I should of known better, any online store that doesn't use PayPal is quite clearly very untrustworthy, no buyer security so I'm guessing no way to get my money back... Go with marine deals or any other shop these dudes suck

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best prices and good shipping costs unlike other retailers. I have lived in gisborne and always relied on them on and offline sales. only issue I've had is a rod not being sent and having to follow up but if they're able to get back to online orders ASAP then their online business will get more business.
The team are always helpful and friendly and down for a yarn about fishing spots and advice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased a chilly bin for my father costing $320, which is a lot of money for me. When the chilly bin arrived it was damaged - it had only been wrapped in a layer of plastic for transit and as a result the chilly bin was covered it cuts, scratches and black marks. This may not render the product unusable but it does certainly look like some blokes old bin that has been dragged from ute to beach to boat for years and does not match the shiny new imagery on their website. If I wanted a used chilly bin I would have bought a used chilly bin, and certainly not paid $320 for it. For two months now I've been trying to have this resolved but Discount Fishing Supplies just ignore all communications. When I got through to someone at the end of last year I was told I was liable for the damage because I signed for the product or gave authority for the courier to leave the product. I did not sign for the product or give the courier the authority to leave - the courier Aramex has confirmed the parcel was sent using a ticket that did not require a signature. Aramex even put this in writing for me which was sent to Discount Fishing Supplies and still no reply. I have now asked for a refund, because a replacement is no longer an acceptable remedy after 2 months of trying to resolve this and such very poor service. I wonder for how long they continue to drag this out for... definitely 0 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have emailed, called, enquired through their website after my online purchase and I have not heard a peep at all. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and in the fact that I've paid almost $200 for products and haven't heard a thing. Purchased these gifts as a birthday/anniversary present for my partner and now it's most certainly not going to get here in time. Will definitely be going to the bank if I can't get a hold of anyone to get a refund or get told where the equipment I PAID for is.
Someone got in touch after this and provided me with an Order Confirmation and tracking number. Will see how it arrives.

Didn't get tracking # initially but Colin got back to me promptly with it when I asked.

My order did not arrive so phoned discount fishing suppiles and was told none of my order was in stock and he was just about to do a refund should see it in 2 to 3 days didnt happen so rang credit card company and placed a dispute with them. Card was refunded after the credit card company got involved. Wasted a lot of my time will never deal with Discount fishing supplies again
