★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the lovely bays that greet you as you take the "scenic route" drive into Shelley Bay instead of proceeding straight ahead into Miramar centre. It is not difficult to miss these little bays when you are focused on the road as it is narrow with several tight bends and little car-parking opportunities. So I would recommend stopping where it is safe to park then double back by foot to those missed spots for a good look, photo-shoot, fishing perhaps and even a picnic or two! It offers pretty, postcard harbour views especially on fine, sunny days. DB is located just before Point Halswell which sits at the tip of the Miramar promontory, with its iconic lighthouse extended a few metres out to sea.
