★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not come here on Saturday night -unless you plan to have yr own dance party in yr room. Prob not on Friday, or Thursday either. Nice enough place, but noise from nightclub downstairs shakes entire building. What f******** town planner let this happen?! Nelson Council please explain...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not come here on a weekend... or any night during the summer party season. There is a nightclub downstairs, something that is not mentioned in the description. The whole place rattles with the sounds from below. Even if you are a heavy sleeper... well. Room was ok, cozy with a tv and a fridge. Not really of any use if you cant go to sleep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a single room with bathroom, room 18. Very nice room and amazing value for money (towels, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, fridge, view of hills). Nabil always willing to help. Be aware it is near a pub that has music most nights, and near a liquor store, so some may feel unsafe staying there, but security is very good. Good kitchen, if a bit old and messy. No outside grounds except for smokers balcony. Free use of bikes, though bikes not in good condition. Free airport pick up and drop off. Right in middle of town, near supermarket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pay extra and stay somewhere else if you want to sleep. Arrived to find that it is located literally on top of a club... my walls are actually shaking because the music is so loud. it would almost be laughable if I didn’t want to sleep so badly. Why you would choose to build a backpackers here I can’t imagine. Rooms are ok, nothing special (your average backpacker-quality) but will never stay here again because of the location!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place with very good prices. The rooms are clean and good for when you are travelling. I was in a 4 girl dorm and we had a small ensuite. The host is very nice and there is a kitchen to store your food or cook as well as a laundry. It is not luxurious, but definitely worth its price, especially if you will be travelling and out for most of the day

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid the place of your not a party animal! My room (private room with private bathroom) was large, reasonably clean and comfortable, BUT the noise! It's as if the bed is atop of a loud speaker. Even with earplugs it's hard to sleep, as the whole room is rattling with the bass vibrations...
And when the music stops, you realise that the walls are paper thin, which is bad luck the guy next door is a heavy snorer...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were really nice and i met some really nice people staying there too. The place itself is above a club which is loud as on fridays and Saturdays but if its your cup of tea and your visiting to party in nelson the liquor store is right out the front. My neighbor kept banging around so loud some days. My water in my shower was always cold, i dont know if the shower next to me was causing it everyday or if the shower is just broken. Rooms are pretty average and my bed was so uncomfortable. Paying 468 for a whole week for short stay is so not worthit and my room wasnt vacuumed before i moved in and bits of food all around the fridge floor. Has a tv with normal freeview but you need to unplug and change cords up if you want to use heater and other appliances and every room has a shower even dorms so your shower may work in another room. Wouldnt like to visit again.
