★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did a overnight satay . Comfortable accommodation with reasonable rate. The receptionist is a friendly lady, easy check in and check out. 1.5 hour drive to giant sand dunes and cape Reinga from the hotel location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it here. We are leaving here today. My unit was cosy very comfortable bed, very clean and I wish I could stay longer but all the units were booked out for the new year's. Most definitely would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good relax after traveling all day. I have this place saved in my directory.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location near gas station and children's park. Can get very busy during holiday season. Room was neat, bathroom and toilet can get messy easily but overall good. Host is lovely, we did an overnight stay and it was comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was on the main road, and easy to find. Excellent location, Children’s park right opposite,.next door to a petrol station, and a close walk to town.
Gracious host, very friendly and accomodating.
Room was well equipped, tidy, and comfortable.
A highlight was the swimming pool.
Just a few spots where I thought could of done with a clean, but other than that enjoyed the stay.
Recommend ‘Kauri Motel’ a good place to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first visit to Kauri Lodge Motel & I won't be returning.
We were greeted with a warm & friendly smile.
Rooms were big, but I found the linen, not very clean.
The shower knob was lower than me, I had to bend down to be under the shower.
The place is old, not very clean. Grass around swimming pool very long.
The bed linen needs to be replaced, mine was stained, didn't look clean.
TV remote was sticky.
Aircon units worked well.
Enough TV channels to keep you busy.
Rooms have Kettle, Coffee,Tea, etc.
Wifi available in bedrooms.
Loads of parking for cars.
Around the corner from Restaurants & shops.
My friend was in his own room & had the same issue as me with his room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were extremely helpful, clearly they take pride in their work. Linen was clean, room was cleaned daily including beds remade, towels changed and they did our dishes too! Front of house lady went out of her way to accomodate us on a daily basis, not know whether we were staying another night each day due to unwell whanau. More than happy with our stay! Thank you so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is very handy to the park across the road and the shops. Very tidy grounds. Customer service was great. We had a family room and a large studio. The price was fair. Only down fall was not having aircon and sometimes the pressure of the showers would be very low. Other then that great place to stay before heading up to the cape.
