β β β β β Wonderful location right on the beach. Room was cozy and sufficient, owner and staff very friendly and accommodating. I would certainly recommend this dog friendly holiday stay.

β β β β β We booked a ground floor family unit for a quick weekend break and despite growing up in the area I hadn't been here before and was looking forward to it.
We were greeted by a friendly (contactless due to covid) welcome on our door and found the unit clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Kitchenette, fridge, 2 hot plates with an oven. Hair dryer, towels etc etc.
The shower/toilet is open wet room so suitable for those who have mobility issues.
A 10 second stroll to the beach, playground next door, dairy with hot food across the road..eateries 5 mins away in Mangonui and Taipa. Highly recommend the Waterfront CafΓ©-the scallops were sublime!
My son is obsessed with fishing so we took the chance to throw the surf caster out for a few hours. Lots of bites,but sadly, no luck this time.
We really enjoyed our short stay and wished we had an extra day. It was really lovely playing tourist in our own back yard and local businesses appreciated the extra support.
Driftwood Lodge is wonderful.
Highly recommend this place.
We will return again soon!

β β β β β We were lucky enough to stay in both the Beachfront Cabana & The Sunshine Suite, both of which are magnificent. Both have large sunny & luxurious rooms. The location is brilliant - you literally walk right out of the Cabana and the beach is on your doorstep. Rosemary & Brian were great hosts and we won't hesitate to come back and stay as soon as we can.

β β β β β Awesome accommodation! Literally right on the beach, with spectacular views. House sleeps three comfortably and has a pull out couch if needed. Modern furniture with a twist of retro gives the house a warm inviting feel. Fully equipped with a BBQ, outdoor furniture and plenty of parking this is a fantastic spot to relax and explore.
