S	Shira Cohen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the place for 2 nights, to do the Mount Cook track. The morning of the check out we were exhausted from the track but evacuated the rooms at 10am as they requested. We stayed outside the room to wait for the kitchen to be cleaned so we could make ourselves a small breakfast before we leave. As soon as the hostel owners saw us, they said we shouldn't be there at 10am even after we explained to them how exhausted we were. They didn't show any sympathy or humanity whatsoever, and basically kicked us out. We left the place humiliated, hungry and with no water because they didn't let us use the kitchen. In addition, their reception is far from the rooms, and there's no cell service so it's not possible to contact them by phone. You have to drive there. At nights everything is dark outside and there are barely any lights, so in case you want to go to the bathroom at night, you find yourself running outside in the dark when it's freezing.
L	L S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a good deal! Was a quaint place in the middle of nowhere and the cabin was warm. Kitchen was nice and so were the hosts. Theres a smidge of flooding on the some of the places when it rains and we woke up to the most snow they had all year. Still cozy
A	Alessandra Françoia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple country place. It has everything you needed. The kitchen is amazing! Washing and drier machines are included but they don’t offer soap. So bring yours. The promo says you will be in a farm and feel the country life style. The site is not in the farm. It’s by the road and we didn’t have a chance to see the farm at all. Another thing that is not clear on the promo is that they don’t have dump station.
S	Stuart Browning on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friendly congenial host met us and told which were our rooms. The room were clean and tidy with the rest of the facilities well presented. This isn't 4 star accommodation but the whole package was 5 star

It was secluded and peaceful, the rooms were nice, and they even had a washing machine that you could use for free which is super nice of them! Had mean views of the Lindis Pass ranges, would definitely come back and stay here

Place is clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped. Short distance walk to the river. Love the farm surroundings and no regrets. Thank you Geva.

Asked if I was comfortable and how other tenants were, I had no problems but that told me that the owners aren't just "taking people's money and shoving them anywhere". Theres an interest from them as to how peoples stays are. I was in The Cooks Room which is 2 beds, very comfortable bed. Amazing view, but most of the Mackenzie Basin is This was my first visit to the Mackenzie Country it went be my last and Omarama will be a regular stop. I would definitely book with them again.

We stayed in the old shearers quarters but I understand they have other options as well. The shearers huts were great, very clean with very comfortable beds. The separate kitchen facilities have everything needed and there is also a small lounge with TV. A couple of shower rooms complete the deal.
