My vacumn cleaner died - my fault. Sent it back to them by courier (they sent me the box) on Mon. It was returned working perfectly on Thurs. Perfect service.

Seriously take care when dealing with this company who have zero customer care. I have phoned 5 times in the last month to find out where my vacuum cleaner is that was supposedly repaired a month ago! I hang on hold and when i get through to a person they empathise and promise they will get back to me “urgently “. They have my $ for repair and i have had no vacuum cleaner for a month. I am surprised to see so many bad reviews- i had thought i was dealing with a reputable company so feel duped.

After listening to an inspiring radio interview with Sir James Dyson my next Dyson experience was not so enjoyable. Sir James spoke of innovation and quality. When innovation and quality are commercialised isn't it is the whole experience that adds to the brand value? After my Dyson stick vacuum developed some problems I made contact with the selling store to find out where my Wellington service agent is located. I wasn't sure if the vacuum was still under warranty but wanted it checked and fixed, if required, as soon as possible. I was informed there is only one service agent in NZ and that is Auckland. I wasn't informed this at purchase, and to be fair I didn't ask. Why is a brand like Dyson so poorly represented after the sale in NZ? Anyway, I've chosen the extremely annoying option and had it sent away. I'll inform you of the turnaround time and outcome of the 2nd part of this average aftersales experience.

Bought the HP09 Purifier to use as a heating fan. Sadly it broke down in less than 3 weeks. I want a replacement but they refuse and they changed the inbound and outbound charge, claiming there is no fault found in the machine. Tested on-site in one Harvey Norman shop, the machine broke down after running for a few minutes. This machine can't even function properly as a heating fan. Definitely not recommended. And Dyson and Harvey Norman refuse a replacement for a serious fault appeared in less than a month.

Love my Dyson Cinetic BigBall Multi Floor bought it 4 years ago use it everyday and it works perfectly. I broke the handle on the vaccum cleaner hose. Phoned Dyson Customer Service and spoke to a Customer service representative this service was second to none. Listened to my query took all my details and I received a new handle part within 2 working days. I highly recommend Dyson Vaccuum Cleaners They are worth every dollar of the price you purchase it for so reliable . Thankyou Dyson .

I have contacted Dyson via their 0800 number three times for my own products, and on behalf of friends. Each time I have found the service technician to be very helpful and to go above and beyond to ensure the problems have been sorted straight away. I couldn't ask for better in aftersales.

Bought a vacuum cleaner 3 yrs ago and now the battery lasts long enough now to do a very small open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge with wooden floors that have been swept before vacuuming. Forget getting through any rooms with carpet. When I finally got through to customer service, and I do mean finally, I was told that I should only ever use the lowest setting unless the floors were absolutely filthy and that to preserve the life of the battery I should wait for 10 - 15 mins after use to put it back on the charger. And to buy a new filter every year. Maybe I should have been told this at purchase. Maybe that would have put me off. I was asked if it was my primary vacuum cleaner. Not sure how many people want to spend a grand for a vacuum cleaner for it not to be their primary, but oh well. Maybe I'm being unreasonable here, but I do think that in this day and age I should expect to get more than this out of my battery at this point. Otherwise, perhaps it should have been pointed at purchase that I should expect to have to spend an extra $150 every couple of years for a new battery. And another $35 a year to replace a filter. So I bought a new battery. I did ask if they could help me out there. The reply was that they just had, by telling me to put it on the lowest setting. I also bought a new head for the machine. The head has been delivered. The battery has not. Yet another age waiting for customer services to be told that parts, although dispatched on the same day, are not delivered together "for the good of the specification of the parcel". Guess I'll just go and vacuum another square inch of a bedroom while I wait.... Absolute rubbish customer service.

If there was a zero stars I would choose that option. Seriously the worst customer service ever. Sent our vacuum to be repaired, now they can’t find it and the service staff are so unhelpful. We have been given the run around by staff (based in Australia) and no one seems to know where the vacuum is or which courier company was used. They gave us a tracking number which is useless without a ticket. Considering a call to Fair Go. Seems like lots of people have had similar issues. We used to recommend them to everyone, and plenty of people purchased on those recommendations. After this experience I won’t buy another Dyson product
