★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of EVERYONE I have dealt with so far in New Zealand, EasternMarine Aquariums has been by far the absolute best in all domains!
Matt and his team have been there day and sometimes night (when needed to ask an urgent question regarding livestock) to provide excellent education and support.
All equipment we have brought from them has been excellent and they have always been available if I have any questions (I am one of those annoying constant question askers).
Lastly, the livestock is incomparable! Never had an issue with their stock including corals, nems, fish etc, and the fish are some of the friendliest I have ever had. Super healthy, super friendly and super vibrant. You can tell Matt and his team take epic care when bringing stock in.
I love coming in to EasterMarine Aquariums as it is like an amazing reef land with the inspiring displays, and everyone is so lovely. Hands down one of my fave places to go - and all stores usually overwhelm me so I really mean it! Thanks so much for everything guys <3 You are the best and you have a forever customer in me and the rest of my family you have converted ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought coral mistry coral frag pack the day before lastest lockdown started. It arrived yesterday. Was a bigger surprise that I exsepected. Instead of the 2-3 I thought I was getting I got 5. When I checked with them they said it was because I had surported them though lockdown. It was well packed. Im new to marine tanks and they have been great about answering questions. They have also been great about steering me away from things not suitable for my tank size. I love a shop who is this honest. Keep up the great work.

The livestock is always in great quality with a lot of variety, and Matt and his team have been super helpful with honest discussions and advice at all hours. I doubt we would have had as much success as we've had without their help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We brought a M150 system as an upgrade from our previous tank. The M150 had great features and was simple to install and set up, it looked great in our living room and are still happy with the tank, I have to say we are mostly very impressed with the tank however there are two issues with the finish of the tank, namely a poorly cut cabinet door with an obvious defect (being rectified by eastern marine) and what I can only explain as specking or what looks like bubbles under the black trim around the bottom of the tank which is noticeable under bright light. While this speckling is a nuisance it ultimately has not stopped us enjoying the tank and a replacement tank would not be worth the trouble considering the global supply issues with COVID etc so we will live with it.
We were recommended MICMOL Thor X lights to run this tank and despite it being a visually pleasing light we have had nothing but issues with three faulty controllers each presenting with different issues, one completely failing, one where the white channel was constantly on and another controller that would completely reset itself randomly back to midday in the schedule at any time for the day or night. Frankly we were about to throw in the towel after a string of livestock losses, when fortunately Matt agreed to a return of the Mic Mol lights.
I have to say this has not been an easy upgrade and we have had our share of issues for sure but I am thankful that Matt has been prompt with emails and has gone beyond (personally delivered and set up the tank etc). He has been prompt with his efforts to rectify issues through this process, so thank you Matt for all your help, advice and fingers crossed everything will settle down from here!
