★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Refused to install ducted air conditioning except in cooler months, i.e. 6 months away. So I took my business to a company that manages the environment to satisfy worker safety AND customer needs, instead of being a victim to the weather and not satisfying the customer. Eastside Refrigeration refused to actually consider how they could keep workers safe even in hot weather. This company would never do any work in the tropics...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried to book a basic service on my heat pump which they installed 3 years ago. Because i am 10 minutes out of Hamilton they wanted to get a staff member on his way into work to service it however only when it suited them not me. I think they forgot what customer service is , surely charge me extra if needed but i shouldn't have to accommodate what suits you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I know there are some mixed reviews here but I can only speak to my experience and it was awesome. We had our AC/heatpump unit serviced ahead of Winter (filters cleaned, sanitised, checked over). Initially I called one company with a 'better' rating who replied that they only worked with their own units and were too busy, so picked another (well rated) who never returned my call. So I called Eastside and the receptionist was kind, efficient and booked it in. Peter came out, on time, got to work and on completion explained everything he had done (it turned out that for a newer model unit the filter had a lot of mould build-up - a bit concerning but dealt with). He even explained how to alter the settings to make the unit work more efficiently and prevent the above from recurring. Highly recommend. Peter you're a genuinely nice guy who knows his stuff and takes pride in what you do. Overall, really pleased and will be back.
