★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience. I watched Spider Man: No Way Home in Gold Class for the second time here, and because it is nearly out of the cinemas, the theatre was completely empty. The seats were full recliners, and could be customised too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a few times and it's now my new local cinema. Always admired the positive, friendly attitude of the staff and how much work has been put into it. Layout may be a little confusing at first (just because that's how the metro centre was done), but the staff and signs will eventually point you in the right direction. Very clean, smaller rooms and more comfortable seats. Highly recommend! Cinemas still need help to recover and if you're ever on Queens St, please pop in if you have some time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lived in the CBD for a number of years so this has been our go-to cinema for a while. Always pretty clean and having the seats booked out around you due to COVID is pretty sweet! Have had issues with the temperature in some of the cinema rooms before - sometimes it’s freezing, so recommend bringing a hoodie/jacket with you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Event Cinemas may wonder why few people are visiting - think they need to work on first impressions. I know Covid has had a devastating effect on the city centre.
But it took nearly 10 minutes of walking around the building to find an entrance that wasn't boarded up. We had to double check online that the cinema was still open even.
When we got in, it still wasn't inviting. Thr boarded up units made it look post-apocalyptic.
When we eventually found the right floor - the cinema itself was lovely. Clean bright and helpful staff.
There's nothing wrong with the cinema, it's just the lower floors of the building.
Need to get some live in, or at least tidy it up and turn on some lights!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used this cinema for 7 years, and have never had any bad experience up until recently. Manager on site made our experience there terrible twice now in 2 months, and I do not see myself using them if the leadership they have is not changed. She is non working, non helpful and overall unsatisfied worker, that should not have any contact with costumers with the way how she works. Covid or not - it is a huge disappointment for a business like Event Cinemas, specially when other staff members are so nicer and better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I treat myself to a Gold Class package every fortnight (by myself, it’s my own little time away from everyone and everything) and I really enjoy it. The service is lovely, the food is great and I love the apple crumble sundae! Theatres are always clean and comfortable too. Thanks team ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome Cinema and the cleanest I have ever been to. The V Lux Lounge seats (leather lazy boys) were so comfy and clean and nicely spaced in pairs. The screen and sound system was on point and really mode you feel part of the movie. The staff are friendly and helpful. The popcorn was a tad too salty for my liking. This is a large cinema complex spaced over multiple stories with a rocket ship lift ?. They also have Gold Class.
It would be even better when the refreshment stand (drinks/snacks) outside cinema 2 re open so you can get more drinks quickly, otherwise you have a bit of walking to do to get more snacks.
