★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meh , all good quality clothing but a bit vanilla. Looking for hand bag but with rucksack straps due to whiplash injury. Need to distribute weight evenly. They had a couple but honestly, at over $70 for a vinyl bag ? That was also dead boring, disappointing. Kids section good fun though. I'm very small and often pick up something fun there, but in the run up to Christmas it's not worth the effort. All the stores here in Napier have jacked up prices by what feels like 300%. This is extortion as just designed to make you feel the boxing day prices are good. But they will be at the high pri e for a few days and then back to normal disguised as reduced, and special dia out. In the UK, sale items must have been displayed at the non sale price for a minimum of 28 days before price reduction permitted to prevent this type of predatory sales pressure.
And as I said, meh!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop had quite a few people on the floor, staff. Was excited to see a full display of Ecoya pine candles. If you haven't seen/smelt these before you're in for a treat.
Christmas decorations were good, well stocked. Have lots of ideas for Christmas presents. Will visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in with my newly expecting best friend with the intention of purchasing a stroller as my gift to her. The item we wanted was out of stock at the Napier store so a lovely assistant (think her name was Carmen) went above and beyond to try to source us one. Finally after exhausting a few other avenues she let us know that the Hastings store had one in stock and she called the store to request a inter-store stock transfer ......... well they certainly aren't cut from the same cloth at Hastings, her request was flat out denied with the only reason being "they may have a customer returning to consider it". The Napier assistant apologised and gave us useful information to order online. Will definitely be returning to Farmers Napier, Hastings could learn a thing or two from them.
