★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff seem to look bored, and no one offered assistance until we asked for help. To top it off I injured myself on store equipment that was left out, reported it to the manager who didn’t seem to care and basically told me “thanks for your feedback but we have kept it there for a long time and have never had any issues.” I told them they should probably move it as it was a health and safety hazard and someone more vulnerable or an elderly person could get seriously hurt. No response. Anyway, I left the store and looked at where I injured myself - I have bruising, raised tissue surrounding the bruises and grazes. I didn’t go back and report this purely based on how I was treated when I first brought the issue up. Awful. Disgraceful.

My son 6yo (with his older cousin) was not permitted to come downstairs (still Farmers) to me wearing his suit he had tried on in the children's department so I could make sure it fit. Instead he was detained at the counter until I got suspicious of the time and went up to find him. My family is tailed through the store when we visit. I get sideways looks and followed as though I'm going to steal something. Today I encountered a woman pushing a trolley through the aisles - twice. Both times she made a beeline despite seeing me, as though she would run it into me if I didn't move. I have not once been asked if I need any assistance. Racism can be hard to put a finger on, but my experienced still falls far below today's low bar of quality customer service. Might be time to stop shopping here. This review does not include Stevens staff who, without exception, are exceptional.
