unfortunately i had to give them 1 star to be able to make a comment. these guys are a absolute waste of space. Web page written on side of truck does not exit. Not a registered NZ company.

Worst furniture movers you can hire. I will not recommend anyone to hire these guys. They will say 3 hours but take 7 hours to move things around. The guys moving things seems like they don’t have any energy. They will ask you to pay cash so they don’t have to pay ird tax.

There is no option of giving them no stars and that is a shame. These guys essentially are a scam. They turned up for the move with a giant truck and it got so bad we had to call it off midway and call for other movers to come help us. Shout out to Smart Express! Anyway, they sent two boys who managed to get three pieces of furniture down stairs in an amazing one and a half hours. This time included their chit-chat boy-talk sessions at the end of each flight of stairs. When confronted they claimed they were tired. You know who was tired? Me. Of your excuses. I understand that our apartment building has no elevator, but I am smart enough to tell the difference between slacking off and catching your breath. I brought that same couch up by myself UP THE STAIRS in 15 minutes. My advice? Man up. So anyway they would rather spend time hanging out around the truck (with a driver in the truck who literally just sat in the truck) than be diligent about their work. Because they are paid by the hour, I guess the best thing to do is to drag things out so they get to steal more money from their clients. In return we got shoddy productivity and outstandingly ridiculous excuses for their laziness. When told that we needed to get things done faster, they looked at me and told me to help bring the stuff down too. Sure thing, because that is what I pay you $85 per hour for. To tell me to do your job. I would also like to add that they told me to do so while I was busy packing up my apartment. At the end we paid $195.50 for not even 1% of our stuff moved to our new house. We ended up having to call Smart Express to send a pair of BRILLIANT movers (go to them instead, seriously) to help us with the rest. They got that done under 2 hours. And that is including the move to the new house. I'll just leave it at that. Calls were made to the company to inform them of their workers' shoddy performance, but we were just told to pay first... and review later. I have very little faith that our case would be heard. Of course, we will pay the bill because it is the right thing to do. But we just want to WARN PEOPLE THAT THESE GUYS WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU BUT SPEND YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. Oh also please try to avoid talking on the phone with them because they do not have a properly working phone line. You literally will not be able to hear anything. We will be contacting the site through which we sourced these guys to advise that they should be removed as a recommendation. Because there is no way in hell I would EVER recommend these guys. P.S. They also operate under the name AK Discount Movers, which is honestly better for them. They turned out to be NEITHER DISCOUNT, NOR FAST.
