About Feilding Moa Harriers clubrooms
We aim to encourage running & recreational walking for people of all ages
The season is more or less divided into two “halves” with cross country occupying the first half of the season and road and trail running the second half. Most weeks see a different venue, different challenges but the same friendly bunch of Moa’s to spur each other along.
April-July: Cross Country
Cross-country events are the feature of the first half of the season. We are fortunate to have the use of a variety of farm courses, including the Woodruffe farm where we will running for the 65th year of cross country racing this year. We also use Timona Park and other runner friendly locations in and about the Manawatu.
July-October: Road racing and Relays
From mid-July we commence the Road-racing phase of Club activities, which includes several interclub relays such as the Halcombe Relay and the Marton-Wanganui Relay. The Club combines with other Clubs in the Manawatu-Wanganui Centre several times in the season through Centre cross-country and Centre road championships.
