★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rough cleaning the cuticles and bad painting job, looks like a child painted my nails! Technician had to put 4 layers of the nail polish as it had gaps showing through and was quite uneven. Not coming back .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I approached them for emergency acrylic nail removal over phone they asked me to come immediately. The service was horrible with that middle aged woman. As they are closing at 6pm, they were rushing with the work. They should have informed me that they will close at 6pm and not sufficient to remove my nails, when i went she just came and cut of my extension as such and later told me that no sufficient time to do all. But somehow they rushed and did the removal and applied gel paint. It was not professional and the space was untidy. This place is not recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NOT BEING A KAREN HERE IN THESE CRAZY TIMES; BUT HERE IS MY REVIEW
Me and my husband went to get pedicure done today and the customer service provided by the lady who served me was HORRIBLE. She didn't even bother to tell me that she finished my pedicure and just ran in between to serve another customer while assuming that I would like to wait there with my legs extended for more than 20 minutes and when I very politely told their other staff who was serving my husband, took that matter to manager who spoke to us in such a harsh tone. I completely understand we are in this crucial time and tried my best to be kind and compassionate enough but they were so rude to us were not even ready to understand what I was trying to say and also the work they did was sub-standard. I wish I could give a ZERO star for their horrendous service.
PS- Never going again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably an unusual review in that I'm rating 1 star for the manicure I received and 4 stars for the awesome service recovery from the management at Five Star Nails.
I was a walk-in on the 4th of June wanting a gel manicure. The salon was quite busy, but I was happy to wait and was eventually served by a lovely lady, though she seemed a bit rushed.
All went well with my manicure and it looked great once it was done. But within a few days I had a large chip on one nail and by just over a week I had large chunks of polish flaking off several nails. In my experience - this is not normal for gel polish, which usually grows out with the nail, or gets soaked off when it's time for a new manicure.
I emailed Five Star Nails with photos and a detailed account my experience. I requested a refund as the service I paid for was not up to expected standards. I was met with a quick, professional response - a refund was agreed to by management and came through within 24 hours.
I think it says a lot about a business when something goes wrong and their response is to take the customer seriously and provide a fair resolution immediately. It shows integrity and makes them worthy of a second chance :) .

Mandy is amazing at what she does goes above and beyond for her clients .Love the spa pedicures.
Would highly rec to anyone wanting great quality nails,relaxing atmosphere and lovely staff ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn’t make an appointment but walked in to get a manicure (for myself) and pedicure (for my cousin). We paid $93 altogether for gel polish. We were lead to seating and asked to wait. Most of the pedicure seats had customers and not soon after my cousin was able to sit down. I waited for maybe 30+ minutes and used to time to select a colour and look around. It seemed busy for them as the all nail techs had a customer and they had the younger staff doing odd jobs. I think the younger staff lacked guidance or training. I had to ask one to clean my station as there were nail clippings there and the towel where I would rest my hands looked dirty. The cleanliness of the area as a whole was worrying. The manicure itself after the wait was fine. The nail tech was polite and I don’t mind silence or even if she speaks to her colleague in another language. I don’t think that’s rude but I think they need to work on the full experience when someone walks in, clean up etc it may have been a busy chaotic day for them and I have given them a better rating as I think alot of businesses are really trying their best coming out of lock down. I wish I had a better experience and most likely will look elsewhere in future but I hope that things get better for future customers.
