★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered an entire house of flooring - majority of it timber, carpet for bedrooms and non slip vinyl for the bathroom and laundry. It look months from measure to installation.
Vinyl install went well, so I was hopeful for the timber and carpet.
The timber looks great except they didn't use the matching timber transition strip where the timber connects to the other flooring. Instead, they used the absolute cheapest metal strips that looked horrible. They didn't even try to match the transition strip to either flooring that it was connecting. I went back to the shop the following day and was told that's the "standard strip" even though the only strips displayed in the shop where the matching timber ones that I was expecting. It took a few more weeks for them to correct the situation.
The carpet installer had to come back out as well since he installed the carpet over top of the plastic wardrobe slider door guides, which should have been removed from the subflooring before the carpet went down.
The quality of the flooring is very nice, and we are now satisfied. But I'm giving them 3 stars due to the amount effort I had to put into getting them to do the job right.

I was after a reasonably small amount of high end carpet, which I obtained at a great sale price. Thank you for making the experience both enjoyable, straightforward, and efficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Flair have put carpet in three bedrooms and vinyl in four other rooms in our home over the past five years. I am now working with them on a bamboo floor in our main area. The work has always been done on time, at cost, and finished properly. There was an issue with the vinyl in one room, which they came in and settled completely to my satisfaction.
I am glad to be able to use a local business, and comfortable in recommending them to anyone in the Wairarapa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service from these people. How they are still in business is a mystery to me. Waited 2 weeks for a quotes and still nothing so called them up to be told I was top priority and then never heard from them again. Went in and spoke to manager about 2 months later and he said he would follow up and get a quote to me. Waited....waited. nothing. When I called up again, the "manager" was extremely rude over the phone. Do not buy from these cowboys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to do a quote, said would get back to me in a week or 2. After 3 weeks I rang to chase up, was told I would have it the next week. Over 2 months later I still have not received the quote. Dont think they care about the small jobs or little guts, I see from other comments this seems to be a pattern with this business. Would not recommend these guys. ☹?
