β β β β β Shocking and very disappointing experience booking my holiday flights to the whole family with Flight Centre... First and will be last time for me to deal with Flight Centre. Not trustworthy and they donβt care much about their customers.
Whatβs even more shocking is the βCustomer Experience Managerβ where she didnβt bother to even pick up the phone and hear my story or complain and all I got from her is a disappointing email stating that her staff didnβt mislead me and theyβre not at fault!!! Great job Miss!!! I replied to this shocking email and requested of her to even listen to the calls but the answer I was told, βsorry calls are recorded for training purposes only and not for this purposeββ¦ OH REALLY!!!!!
I have been misled and given false and incomplete information, all they were after is making sure I pay the money for the tickets in full even though the flights are 5 months away! And the Airline is not requesting the payment until 8 weeks before flying!!!
Iβve been flying in and out of New Zealand at least once a year for the past 25 years and never had issues with my bookings, the success behind this is that I NEVER booked my airline tickets with FLIGHT CENTREβ¦.
Now that Iβve learnt my lesson the hard way by being deceived and misled by Flight Centre staff and manager and payed thousands of dollars for wrong dates because their system went down twice booking the dates I wanted!!!!
Oh and let me also add the tickets were not price matched either!!! So I paid full priced tickets!!!
I wanted to make sure I pass this horrible experience and service to everyone to be careful so their holidays wouldnβt be ruined as mine did, thanks to Flight Centre!!!

β β β β β Absolutely awful. Typically we book our own holidays but decided to try Flight Centre for some cheaper flights at a travel show and have not stopped regretting it. Every step of the way has been laid with mistakes and excuses, the biggest being me and my wife were never requested to sit together on our long haul flights. In typical fashion Flight Centre and the airline were quick to blame the other, but I'm inclined to believe the airline as they showed me how quick and easy it is to set up, where my response from Flight Center was "if we book them together then they should seat you together." Something United Airlines has confirmed not to be true.
We couldn't get our agent or a call back in general for months, up to the final week of us leaving for our holiday when we took it upon ourselves to go in and get our tickets.
We ended up booking most things on our own as they were cheaper and had more incentive.
What is most disturbing is our agent, Gon, is a "Senior Team Leader," and still all we got was excuses and shrugging off for their mistake.
Holidays are expensive and I recommend finding someone you trust to handle them. Flight Centre clearly doesn't care.

β β β β β My agent, didn't do a good job of contacting me via email to get my address, not sure what they were thinking I waited an extra week for my flight tickets with all the information I needed to connect with my flight. Wasn't happy.

β β β β β Tamara at Flight Centre Northlands is absolutely fantastic. I was having some trouble finding flights back to Ireland from Queenstown that suited my holiday days off work. Tamara was super friendly, helpful and found me exactly what I was looking for in terms of flights home, and stopovers. Highly recommend!

β β β β β Absolutely disgusting service from the Christchurch Northlands Flight Centre. I am in the midst of writing a formal complaint to head office. Long story short, my mother traveled to Sydney from Christchurch and used FC to book her flights so rely on them in the instance something goes wrong and she has to rebook due to covid. The consultant (male I believe, may have been Gon?), advised her that if anything were to go wrong that she call xx number and email him and mark it URGENT as he "checks his emails all the time" - his words and his instructions. Low and behold, my mother did her pre-departure testing and was covid positive. She emailed him straight away (as per his instructions) and we spent FOUR HOURS trying to get through to flight centre (the number he provided to my mother to call should this happen), to rebook her flights on Saturday afternoon (21/05), and she could not get through. I ended up trying myself and a girl named LOU answered and asked for my mothers booking number which my mum did and LOU took it down, (my mum was upset on the phone call), and Lou asked to put her on hold and then cut her off. NEVER phoned her back! She had the booking details to call her back. Didn't bother. If someone calls you distressed about their travel and have given you the booking details and you're cut off from speaking with them, SURELY you would use common sense and call them back? Why did she not call my mother back? Do you think we could get through again? Nope. Five hours, no luck. Ended up having to call the emergency FC number and have the booking put into credit. 24 hours later Gon (or whoever her original consultant was) EMAILED her back (no phone call), and all he said was "So are you sure you cannot fly back today?" What on earth? Of course she cannot fly back, she was positive for Covid, you're the travel agent, you should know the rules. My mum responded to him with her disappointed, and he emailed back to reassure mum that he had been trying since Saturday when he got her email, to rebook her flight (this is not true because he never responded or made contact with her on this day!). He then booked my mother a flight (without checking with her!), for the following Saturday which is insufficient because if any good travel agent knows the rules - you have to isolate for seven days, then retest and have it negative (or a doctors clearance) and then travel within 24hrs of that test, so booking a flight for the following Saturday was WRONG because she doesn't actually leave isolation until SUNDAY. Moral of the story - my mum used flight centre because she wanted peace of mind that they would look after her and do the hard yards, be there when she needed them, respond and know the rules if she got caught out with Covid whilst travelling and this consultant was absolutely incompetent of doing his job. Do not bother with third party travel agents especially Flight Centre Northlands, just book direct with the airline.
Update to add; same consultant tried to rebook my mothers flight again today 24/05 - got it wrong, left off her checked in baggage. Absolutely useless.
