★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my little bunny here to be neutered and I was so grateful to be able to register him with the practice. Ladies at the front desk were so kind and warm, they're thorough, and very informative. My little guy hated every second (the little scaredy bun) but I couldn't be happier with where he's going. I know that he's treated well and compassionately which is the peace of mind you want when leaving your fur child with others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were extremely unimpressed with how this morning went.
Once arriving, after being on hold for 15 minutes we put our puppy inside the outdoor crate.
I went back to the car to call reception again. Not after being put on hold, a lady spoke to us as if they had no idea we were coming. She claimed we didn’t fill out the correct forms and was asking us for information we felt they (or their databases) should already know. Basics such as “is he microchipped?!” (our puppy has visited several times before.. this should be on record!)
We heard another person chatting in the background saying “someone just left their dog in the crate..”
She then very rudely asked us to remove him from the crate (there were no other animals coming in as far as we could see so this was rather unnecessary…)
- Our puppy was already terrified and I knew getting him back in the second time would be a twice as hard.
They soon discovered that we HAD filled out the correct forms.
They were frankly extremely disorganised, unprofessional and unnecessarily condescending..
As a first time owner and for our puppy’s first ever surgical procedure, we were extremely nervous and this did not help at all.
I did not at all feel happy or comfortable leaving him in this environment.
I felt I couldn’t say anything about this to them at the time as they were so unprofessional, I genuinely felt that it could jeopardise the quality of the care.
It is because of this that we’ve unfortunately decided that our puppy will no longer receive care from forest hill. Despite how much we like the vet himself. This was not good enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My parents used to bring their cat to Forrest Hill vet, so when I got a dog I immediately thought of them and haven't regretted it.
Wombat has had a lot of stomach issues (some self-inflicted), and the team is always so great with him. They treat him kindly and in a calm manner, and I know if I leave Wombat in their care, they will give him the best care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't trust the vets here. They put my guinea pig on harsh antibiotics and insisted that he come back to get more doses. His foot pad was bleeding and they were worried it was potentially infected. I told them on my second visit that he wasn't coping well with the medication (lost his appetite, had diarrhoea and then was constipated after the first dose!). I brought him back and told the male vet but he brushed it off and insisted he needed another dose and that he needs to come in again. My guinea pig died pretty shortly after the second visit.
Although this was many years ago I will never forget how terrible this experience was. Vet was uncaring. Didn't seem like he cared about the well being of my guinea pig. Didn't do any check up to make sure he was ok and healthy. Just injected him and got me to pay. I would give zero stars if I could. I also don't normally post reviews but I wish I had the guts to tell the vets back then what a terrible experience it was.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such cool people. Had an emergency with a bleeding dog tail. They made everything easy, dealt with an emergency operation and made me feel safe that my dog was in great hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every visit I've made here has been fantastic. They're so welcoming and so good with both my cat and dog that both love going to the vet (weird, but true!). The vets are so calm and reassuring (to both you and the animal) while letting you know what's going on. A huge plus is they let you know the most cost effective way of dealing with something, which is great. I would highly recommend Forrest Hill to any pet owner.
