★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yum yum yummo, with a group of at least 40 of us ordering not just off the main menu but the pizza menu as well, absolutely all of us enjoyed our meals. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Also with the size of our group plus others that were dining we didn't have to wait long for the drinks to keep coming. The only reason 4 stars rather than 5 some of the decor especially in the ladies bathroom was tatty and dusty, the toilets themselves were clean. But I do feel the bathroom could do with modernizing. Will be back especially for the French grilled fish of the day and the delicious salad that came with it.

The food was great, all our guests commented on the amazing quality and taste of the pizzas and chips, delicious!! Thanks again, we will be back x

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the most amazing restaurant I have ever seen. My dear Wife and I will be visiting for many meals indeed. Absolutely astonishing decor. Welcome to yesterday. The long standing owners can be truly proud of what has been created here. I was gobsmacked and inspired to the max. Highly recommended indeed. This place is without a doubt yesteryear but worth every minute of a visit. The staff are so welcoming and treat you like royalty. If you want a VERY special lunch or dinner then this is truly the place to go to. Would be an absolute fabulous special function venue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an unexpected delight on Highway 2, we drive past it daily, it's like old English pub meets NZ wild west. We had the pizza, it was huge. I had the vegetarian pizza - one of the best I've had, took half of it home in a box. Ciders & beers on tap. Definitely coming back. Roaring log burner on a chilly day was wonderful.
