★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly recommend Franklyn Village to anyone that just needs a comfy, warm, and affordable place to stay/live. Close to town, supermarket, weekend markets. The staff here are AWESOME, they really make the place special by the way they run it. Nice garden space on a sunny day :-). Whether you want to make friends or just keep yourself to yourself, it's cruisy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without doubt one of the great accommodation place in Nelson. We still remember your warm welcome when we arrived first time here.We still living here since 2017,February. We love the Franklyn Village, it’s great value for money. We have everything we need and it’s in a handy location. James, Laura, Chris and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi worked seamlessly, the gym and all other facilities are very good. Friendly and very helpful neighbours also. We highly recommend the Franklyn Village to anyone who wish to have afforadable and convenience accommodation in short term or longer stays.Thank you Franklyn Village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in Franklyn Village for about 4 mos and I absolutely love the place. Big and clean room space, fridge freezer, new bathroom. Just excellent. Very handy as I work in Nelson Hospital about 2 mins walk. The staffs are all wonderful to deal with esp. LAURA and James. It's well maintained, kitchens are always clean. WiFi access is good. Free cleaning stuff, free foods like bread milk fruits on Mon and fri etc. Nice laundry space and even has a gym in it. James makes sure all tenants are safe and secured. I must say it's very well managed. The best part of my stay was when we had an Xmas party open for all the tenants and staff food provided + Xmas lunch on Christmas day. Highly recommended!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Franklyn village is indeed an affordable and pleasant place to stay equipped with experienced maintenance team, reliable cleaning team and trustworthy and bold security team. I believe that the management style adopted at Franklyn village is the key ingredient behind a safe place to stay in by having an empathetic, outgoing and wonderful person like James as the leader along with a radiant, helpful and down to earth person like Laura. God bless you guys, you are doing an outstanding job with attention to details. I have referred two friends and they stepped in and I shall unhesitatingly continue to recommend more people here to promote Franklyn Village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing family environment, or a just a friendly place to stay, top staff with a can do attitude.
Affordable accommodation, with top hygiene. A nurse comes every fortnight for your convince all free. Free bread and veggies Monday's and Friday after Noon's.
I love it hear come join the Franklin family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been here for several months now and have found the amenities to be excellent and fully adequate for my needs. The rooms are excellent and cosy, the staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful with a caring nature that is evidenced by their sense of humour and goodwill toward tenants. Some of the services provided are free of charge including 30 minutes internet per day and a once weekly taxi service to the local supermarkets.
I was cautious about moving here at first due to the reputation that Franklyn Village had but have found it's bad reputation to be completely undeserved and would have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to live to friends.

I am a retired person. Sadly, I had to stop working because I had serious heart disease.
I have three degrees and I am a Fellow of a Royal College.
I mention this because there are people with qualifications like this living here.
I have read negative comments about Franklyn Village in the media, and some of these Google reviews mention negative things..
I would like to emphasize that I, personally, have never encountered any of these negative things.
I would like to repeat this. In about nine years I have never personally come in contact with any of these negative occurrences.
I have found the management and staff very helpful.
Franklyn Village isn't a Five Star Hotel, but it is quite good.
In my university studies I stayed in several Halls of Residence, and I can say that the behaviour at Franklyn Village is much better than the behaviour I encountered at two Halls of Residence both of which required a lengthy and difficult application process.

You can always find someone to have a conversation with :) The staff are lovely and very nice and do their best to accommodate your needs. Right on the bus route and only fifteen minute walk to town.
