★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was pleasant enough, but it didn't jump out and woo me as I had anticipated.
The weather had made it seem dry and even untidy, but the running water and placement of rocks and plants did allow the imagination to dictate what it should really be like in an ideal world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely lovely, cozy tiny place. Just near the entrance of the Auckland Zoo. If you are lucky, and there is not so many people, you will indulge in quiet atmosphere and beautiful exterior ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to take the kids for walks around Western Springs when they were small.
Great to see the birdlife in and around the water are still thriving. It's a nice walk around and very calming if you take the time to enjoy.
I didn't even see the garden (must have walked by it at some point) so can't add a comment about it.
