Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors is proud to be a member of the Funeral Directors’ Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).
Since it was founded in 1937, the FDANZ has promoted quality, expertise and integrity in the funeral profession, and has encouraged the training and education of funeral directors. Today the FDANZ represents approximately 85% of funeral practices in New Zealand.
As members of the FDANZ, Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors follow the Rules of the Association as well as a strict Code of Ethics and a Code of Conduct. In keeping with its commitment to high standards of professionalism and ethics, the Association has introduced an independent disputes resolution process.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
Go anyplace else just whatever you do DON'T use Gee and Hickton.
They do not care about anything but your money and taking as much of it as possible for doing absolutely nothing. They will not respect you or your loved ones they are absolutely disgusting and I would never recommend this place to anyone.
NEVER USE THIS SERVICE EVER!!!!!

You have been caring, attentive, and hearing our needs and requests. You have been respectful, professional and passionate.
Our family was very satisfied with the whole process of the viewing, the funeral, and the burial. Thank you Megan for staying after hours on a Friday to help us out. And for guiding and helping us along on the day of the funeral.
The excellent work from your great team helped our family in our grieving process during this saddest time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you, Andrew, Megan, Christine, Gavin, and many we have no doubt missed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son died by suicide - a shocking reality for our family. At the time I was in a mess and didn't know where to start in dealing with a funeral for my beloved son. Our family had used Gee & Hickton a couple of times due to family deaths and they were fantastic, so we used them again for my son. Honestly, without the amazing service, care and love of Gee & Hickton, particularly from Jenna, I don't know how we would have gone through the service. During Covid in particular, it was a logistical nightmare, but they made it work. The time frame, on the day, was tricky because I there were so many tributes for my son, but they made it work. The delay, caused by all our tributes, affected the timing at the Crematorium, but they made it work. We had people around the world who couldn't fly in, because of Covid - once again Gee & Hickton made it work with a flawless live internet access to the entire funeral. Heaven only knows how Jenna achieved all this with what she was up against, but I want to extend a massive thank you to her and her team at Gee & Hickton. We got through this horrific day, and it's challenges, purely due to the work behind the scenes, by them, to ensure everything ran smoothly from first appointing them as our Funeral Directors, all the way through to the end, and follow up. Blessings to you for helping us give our son the send off he deserved, nothing but the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As you can imagine losing our 15-year-old daughter to cancer was the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to us. In amongst our pain and grief all we wanted to do was try and have a funeral that was a fitting send off for our wonderful girl. And this is where Gavin; Cassie and all the team a Gee and Hickton were so amazing. They came into our home and instantly put us at ease with everything which needed to happen. They took the time to explain thing to us, to get to know us and genuinely listen to what we wanted from the funeral. Most importantly they really listened and took the time to understand about who our girl was and what she was like as a person; so that her service could reflect that. And from there they helped organise a wonderful funeral - complete with little touches that they organised, like a disco ball on her casket that she would have loved. We were just so happy with the caring service that Gavin; Cassie and everyone at Gee and Hickton provided. Thank you so much
