Unfortunately not that many choices as I expected there would also be cooked food & a pancake station like other branches in Auckland, so this was a shock. But the staff were so accomodating with our last minute plans and were so lovely and friendly throughout our whole visit.

Not the best Gengis Khan we have been to but still a nice place to go and eat. Limited selection compared to others but still an enjoyable meal. Only 2 cooks on the plate on a Saturday night made things a little slow.

It was the first time we had mangolian cusine. It was a good experience selecting what meat we want, add the veges, noddles and then finally the sauses. And that is unlimited, you can eat as much as you like. To finish it off there is a selection of desserts to choose from. Things I didn't like, 1) meat served was frozen shaved meat, which after cooking became very chewy 2) no cleaning of the frying pan between cooking for each person which means you food is cooked on top of all the sticky bits of noodles remaining from previous cooking, giving you food a burnt smell and flavour.

First time eating in Genghis Khan and quite satisfied with the restaurant. Quick and nice service. Owner was very friendly and lovely. The cook will still cook your food even if it’s almost closing time. The bread was delicious.

Enjoyed the complimentary chicken and corn soup and breads. Staff were attentive and there’s a good choice of drinks. Was slightly disappointed with the actual choice and BBQ side of things. Considering there were 12 of us with very different tastes, everything seemed to come out tasting the same..not sure if the hot plate that the food is cooked on it a cleaned between dishes so that’s why everyones food tasted the same no matter which combination of meat and sauces were used. There’s also no Vegetarian options available. I enjoyed the theatre of the cooking of the food but wouldn’t return again as $25 each seems quite a high price for a couple of bowls of noodles each.

Good to see this place still open. The last time I came here was about 11 years ago. Pretty much the same, not a lot has changed. Fresh meats, vegetables, noodles, a very good range of flavours to add to your meal. Sweet corn egg soup, complimentary if purchasing the bbq buffet. A very good price, I think I paid $30. for dinner, which was awesome...as we went up to the buffet at least 3 times. Cheers ?

Family and I enjoyed our meals. Have been to others around NZ and compared to these, I had to give this one 4 stars. The food is cooked with the help of sticks which cooks fine. But because the hot plate isn't fully cleaned after, you will end up with food that maybe is not entirely yours. The options were not as vast as in Auckland equivalents but again, was enjoyable enough to eat.
