★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my tamariki on a date night here, they enjoyed the food, and I liked my buddah bowl, however there was not much of a selection for vegetarian main dishes, the food was good, the service was lovely we had wonderful waitresses that came to check on us often, always pleasant place to go to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the best this time. Good Union has a special place in our hearts as we were the last couple to be married in the former church. The chips were cold and green leaves with 2 slices of tomato is not a salad. The fish and my burger were good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed after a making our annual special trip back to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Good Union where we got married when it was a church. Service was But the meal Meal was a SHOCKER. My friend and I both ordered the fish & Chips with salad..
Fish...Lovely..very yum. Chips cold as, like almost out of freezer and salad was a handful of a lettuce mix thrown onto a plate with 2 chunks tomato, no dressing and utter) took my complaint to management. She returned to offer another bowl of chips which we declined as the others in our party had finished their meals. When we went to pay they did refund the price of one meal, well they said they did and as my friend paid, I did not want to appear rude and check. They did not offer a docket stating meal costings and only recalled what we had on my inquiry..and then we found we were being charged for another tables food.
Yes...we can blame covid and it must be very hard for staff but that should not impact on the quality of food presented and if compromised, let customers know.
Wont be returning in a hurry but hopefully sorted for our 50th anniversary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menu has diminished (thanks covid!) But what's there is great. Beer tasting platter is excellent value. Service is great. Kids Bento boxes are a winner. Absolutely 5 stars. But we miss those taco and sharing platters!

Can't forget the Staff, very good lòks like they enjoy working there .
